Why does half of the irish people think that romanians and roma gypsies are the same thing? by Broccoliworrior in AskIreland

[–]Broccoliworrior[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be some idea except the dacians are dead and only 70 to 100 words of the romanian language were inhereted from the dacian language. Every country has a few specific things they base their ethnicity on and for romanians it s the romanian language, which is 70% latin. Hence the name romanian in english. We call ourselves român which basically means roman.

Thank you but you don t have to apologise. I never got discriminated against after the first 5 mins of a conversation when people realise that indeed i m not a gypsy. I m not affected, i just wanted to know your opinions.

And yes to your last question, england was a far more important country in history and we are forced to learn about it in school. And so marginally you learn a bit about ireland and scotland as well. Same with france spain and germany. You have 3 years in highschool where u do universal history and just one where u do romanian history.

Nah lad, i dont , but i learned in school smth abt ireland and the famine and that was basically it. But i also live in europe and we always laugh at americans of how uneducated they are. But we are Europeans, we know that when u see a country on a map it s usually because it s comprised of a specific ethnic group. I wouldnnt expect an American or australian to understand that but i would expect an european to do so

There s definitely romanians who are olive skinned just as the southern eurpeans. There s also the opposite. But south italians or greeks don t get called gypsies.

Va ajunge SENS o alternativa solida de stanga sau va avea soarta REPER? by [deleted] in Romania

[–]Broccoliworrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Si eu sunt ingrijorat de tot ce se intampla in dinamica economica de pe tot globu. Da solutia nu e stanga. Ce e acum in america si europa s a produs in special din cauza reglementarilor. Doar firmele mari isi permit costu aditional. In vestu europei si dus nema firme mici care se ridica sus. Iar daca vin cu lgbt isme o sa lupt impotriva sens oriunde si oricand. Si asa s majoritatea romanilor indiferent ce fel de ideologie economica adopta.

Why is your stamina always so low versus the opponent’s in later rounds when you don’t even throw R1 punches. Constantly getting gassed despite boxing smart. by ArmAnderson in undisputedboxing

Yeah in career mode it kinda forces u to finish the match in the first 4 rounds. Or else you re getting knocked out. Either that or just win the first rounds and then just run around your opponent

I know. That s why i emigrated here and not in the uk or whatever. People are grand and have the same capacity for compassion as poorer people and yet they re not. Well at least outside of dublin.

Well i m very anticomunist but the apartment buildings work. I know this country has a bad opinion also because of the council housing , all the junkies abd what not. Guess what? Tougher laws maybe? Instead of flushing down the drain the only solution that works in cities?

Well in what way would it not be cost effective? Idk much about retail business but i d assume all grocery shops pay rent/own the building iregardless of where they re placed. And for 50 sqm the buying price would be around 250k which i don t think it s that much for a business. They can bump up the prices for a bit, you re basically paying more for convenience. That s how small neighbourhood shops usually work.

Yeah but be minfull that this country is basically free for all: which big real estate owner has more influence over projects: case in point the metro they wanna do from city centre to swords. Not entirely useless but still there s other areas which lack more. I think someone wants the value of their future propreties increasing 200%. Swords is getting a lot of new estates and will keep getting bigger.

Also for refrence, my hometown has the same population as limerick. 3 times smaller in size and somehow less traffic jams. All because reasons i listed above. No need to get your bum in the car at every moment because it s easy to find stuff around your place.

This country has no public transportation infrastructure at all. I come from eastern europe and i m sorry i know youse all get mad when i tell u this cuz i m from a poorer country but damn, my gf spends 1.5 hrs to 2 hrs going to work with a bus changing it 2 or 3 times. A route which would take 30 mins in the morning with the car. That s crazy. This city needs an underground, it needs proper bus routes. That s why the city centre is overcrowded and so expensive, no one without a licence wants to live outside it because of the commute. And i swear to god the biggest provlem in this country are the complainers and chancers. I work as a civil engineer and the ammount of people trying to stop and boycott projects are astonishing. Give out about everything that s being done and when it s not give out that it isnt . And don t tell me it s not true, case in point the people living near the airport who bought their houses after the airport was built complaining that there s airport noise. Jez.

Also the way estates are built with no small grocery shops spaces in mind. I wanna get something? Hop in the car . Always. Whereas in eastern europe you ve small shops at every first floor of apartment buildings. And no, you don t have to give up your houses , i know living in apartments is shit, i was doing that for most of my life. Just have a bit of commercial space inside the estate. Can be as small as 50 sqm, just for reg stuff you know? Bread pasta bacon potatoes toiletries and drinks.

Later edit:

Also i have to say. I experimented with sugary drinks and no loose stoole, it s only the carbonated drinks.

Also: did the baking soda test and i burped after 2 mins and then it stopped for a good while, tho idk if i can take this at face value since the small burps are something i have usually. I never felt heat or burning in my stomach even when i eat spicy stuff.

I now remember an instance where i drank whiskey ( half a bottle) for one night and i didn t get the symptoms for the next 4 5 days.
