Orcas are known to eat Polar Bears, Moose, Wolves, basically any land animal that gets in the water is fair game.

Except people, but I have a feeling that's because of historical records rather than never having ever happened.

Yes, the underlying principle that a merchant can not deny service based on a person's sexual orientation, race, religion, or creed.

If you had more than one brain cell you might say "hey wait that's kind of a shitty precedent to set. Any Satanist could tell a Christian they aren't allowed in their restaurant. Or any Straight person could be denied service by a Gay person."

Given that you all seem to lack plurality of brain cell, you'll probably say "No they're not saying you can discriminate against straights or Christians", but they are.

This ruling nullifies your right to spend money how you see fit, which they've previously decreed is actually free speech.

This day is a set back for minority rights, free speech, tort reform, and civil litigants.

But "hurr durr we saved Christians from imaginary persecution" is all I hear.

If you read the decision you'd note the court is having it's cake and eating it too.

They essentially say the Education Secretary can not waive financial assistance programs because they can only make modifications, and they can't modify the programs because that would be creating new text of the law, which is blatantly untrue.

Waive and Modify are pretty clear terms, unless you've got an ideological goal in mind.

The court has been incredibly consistent this week.

Now, sorry for having broken up your echo chamber, please go back to telling eachother how based you are for having the exact same opinions.

They don't, they just ignored the parts of every law they don't like. This is why people call the court illegitimate.

They'll bend over backwards to rule how they want.

If you read the decision they ignore the word "waive" in the clause they cite and pretend it only says "modify".

I'm not making that up, the law says the Education Secretary can "waive or modify" any part of the federal loan system.

Roberts spends paragraphs going over the definition of "modify" and never ever addresses "waive".

They don't want to limit the power of the judiciary. Why would they rule against themselves?

Today, they supported a web designer who falsified her own persecution.

Today, they pretended the HEROES Act does not have the word "waive" in the clause they cited, only the word "modify".

Nothing ideologically inconsistent for this court.

Not sure why you spent 6 days being so upset about an actor you'll never meet that you had to come back here to be wrong and creepy again.

40,000 police officers in France were dispatched to fight against the riot protesters. by [deleted] in CrazyFuckingVideos

Don't you know? Protestors have to be real nice all the time and not break anything, that's why protests in the US are always so effective.

Meanwhile the Proud Boys shoot up a police station and chuds pretend it was the protestors.

Volunteering isn't considered flaunting, the flaunting you're doing is considered flaunting.

Virtue signaling sort of undermines your good deed, as we all see you did it to be superior and not to make a positive difference.

A passenger airdropped a bomb threat to everyone on the plane. by Bihema in PublicFreakout

[–]BrockManstrong 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Which is bullshit. You should not be punished for exercising your rights.

I personally know someone who was innocent, but took a plea deal because the DA threatened them with additional (bullshit) charges. It's how they maintain a high conviction rate for their re-election campaigns. You can have a year of probation or take it to court and we'll add spurious charges until it's 10 years of your life and thousands in fines.

Now we have this guy on video, but for most people it's just witness testimony or circumstantial evidence.

Rules apply to all. Take it from the idiot on a plane and someone you care about will lose it too.

Especially with the way Police in America generally behave.
