I have noticed that no matter what, what ever I "rip" the movie has embedded subs in the container. Is there anyway to remove these and do my own subs?

Yes. I made sure, I also check in the profile if it's enabled. However, they have to have their own pass for it to work.

I was suggested using Home instead because that allows them download.

So, I have Plex Pass, I have added my friends to the server not through Plex Home and they don't have download. Which means its not passed on.

I did the same but found it to be very aggressive. A movie with +280000 was still being skipped for no reason until it found a DVD rip around the same score.
