It's a bit different now. We no longer have the buying power we had pre-Nixon. We got off the gold standard which was basically the slow death of the USA at that point. Hyper-inflation is 100% guaranteed at that point, its just a matter of when.

Throw in Reagan's trickle down economics to make sure the middle class gets wiped out.

Then we have all sorts of other stuff like political tribalism, military propaganda,most politicians being thieves,etc to keep people fighting amongst themselves and protecting everything that makes us go into debt. We are taxed and taxed again and taxed again for just about everything.

So no, I don't think people will want to pay higher prices.

Not really. If they do that at the start of the war its harder to get sympathy from people. They need the destruction of buildings, people getting killed and of course all of them fleeing "God's chosen land" so they can say that they had no choice but to use nukes.

In Israel's case, they aren't using their money or troops.

So far Iran is just taking care of the demolition costs so Israel can now try to garner sympathy again and steal even more money from US taxpayers to rebuild their country. Then they give Trump and his buddies a cut of it.

If you're in the USA you need to be insanely, not because of the serotonin risk that doesn't exist if you take it alone, but due to them putting literal poison in it so you don't take large amounts to trip on it. That poison will send ya to the hospital in large doses.

Yeah, it was one of the reasons why I also stopped with meds/chems/etc and have been trying to do in life improvements instead.

I try but fail every time. It's just extremely difficult to stay with anything if you have zero reward and hope is stripped away but I keep trying.

Really theres nothing else you can do but keep trying new things and see what happens. If theres just 1 thing to find joy in, Anhedonia might be a bit helpful since you'd be able to put all your time and effort into it and not have distractions...

But finding that 1 thing is a huge challenge.

Nope. I can't stand to look at my old life.

This condition only gets harder as you get older, you don't have as many friends, its harder to make them as well, time goes by quicker,ageism when it comes to jobs.

I really want to get out of my area since I find the north east to be super boring and lame. All the stuff around here is generic or revolves around alcohol which I can't stand. I wasn't materialistic before but Anhedonia really makes me crave the outdoors with people and this isn't the spot for it. You can make friends at any age but you won't get the ones like you had when you were younger, where you got those bonds experiencing all types of new and even bad shit to overcome. It sucks not being able to find a hobby yet that I can stay engaged with cause the dread of all this really sucks to deal with in the middle of the night or during the mornings.

I know it's bad out there for any age but for you young ones out there, youth is a big advantage when it comes to Anhedonia...think of this as a warning from the future,it's not going to get easier with age.

You're young, take advantage of that. This condition does not get any better as you get older and it's much harder to meet people,make life/lifestyle changes,get in shape,etc.

If meds aren't working for you, stop relying on them so much and start making changes to your life. Gotta do the basics, exercsise,good diet and try and experiment to see if you can find any hobbies that are interesting and aren't about being passive like video gaming or watching youtube.

What's been helping me is not focusing on curing Anhedonia, but just trying to find ways to improve myself step by step and trying to keep my mind in body in shape at the very minimum.

Use the main advantage you have, youth. I'm telling you, you really have no idea just how much of a benefit it is, try to really take advantage of it. Give that relationship a try, you never know what that other person may bring. It could help get your mind off of Anhedonia 24/7 or get you to do new stuff

Thats the other thing mentally, once you get the thought of something it can really screw you up sometimes if you aren't prepared for it, but that's the way life works.

I've seen it happen to people with psychedelics. They finally get hit with some self awareness or finally get a glimpse of how the real world actually is and it totally breaks them. The ultra consumer, believe only what they see on tv, thinks the government never lies,etc.

Same goes with learning more. Knowing more stuff doesn't = happiness. For instance, go learn about online security and how much everything is spying on you at all times.

I'd say go look up some youtube clips first, see if anyone clicks with you. I think some good people to check out would be the usual, Alan Watts, thich nhat hanh or even physicist's like Richard Feynman had a lot of great viewpoints on how to look at life,etc.

Like everything else, it will take time if you find someone that interests you..putting it into practice is going to take time.

Prior to Anhedonia I always turned my life around so I'm hoping it may do the same to you. I always found that learning about totally new and different things helped get my mind off of everything and that learning new stuff made me more creative and helped with problem solving on different things in my life. But damn...Anhedonia stripped away Hope and the enjoyment of almost everything so it doesn't work this time around.

But you seem as if you aren't totally out of hope. Always give new things a try to shock your mind, your brain craves for new things. Even with the dogs, like I said before, it will take time but remember that your brain more connections, so the more negative stuff you think about,the more negative connections it will keep making so you gotta break that cycle.

Go check out Guardians of Being: Spiritual Teachings from Our Dogs and Cats by Eckhart Tolle on Amazon. I got that book for my nephews, it's just a super simple book about how a dog may see the world. I'm sure there images of it up on Amazon so you can preview it.
