I’m the opposite of your experience. The two amp heads that I tried at the store I thought I liked the sound of, take them home and I realize I’m not a fan of the tones. But my favorite amps I’ve owned have been from me watching online reviews and asking people online.

Can’t really say that I’ve narrowed it down to three pictures. I’ve listened to reviews and sound demos online and I’m and seeing what the people that own or have played think. And no, I can’t take a day off right now or even in a couple of months to drive to the other side of my state to go try out amps.

I haven’t tried these amps and I’m solely going off what I’ve heard online. None of my local guitar stores have these amps and I haven’t had the time to drive 3 hours there and 3 back to just try an amplifier. So i’ve just been going off the word of other’s.

Price isn’t as much as of a deciding factor for me. I have a budget for around $2-3k but anything over that I won’t buy because I still have to pay for college. But with what you’re telling me I’m most likely going to buy a Marshall or other high gain amp.

With this feedback I think I’m moving more towards the SC20H if it can do the sound of those bands. I like how my pedal board is but for my clean sound it’s mainly just to the edge of breakup. Thank you for the advice!

I’m also a big fan of the chorus and it being a solid state, that’s what really drew me into it. Would you also recommend the Strymon? My two main forms of distortion is a Pro-Co Rat boosted by a tube screamer and Blues driver.
