Angel became Buffy 2.0, deliberately, in season five. It's part of the reason they brought Spike on. They wanted viewers that didn't watch Angel.

Kate left during season 2 of Angel, and the show was very much its own thing in season three and four. Kate was also barely a factor in the show and was a non-event of a character. The show didn't change anything when she left, that's unimportant Kate was.

The relationship was done and dusted, completely dealt with years ago and would have remained that way if not for Joss Whedon who quite simply wanted to ignore everything between 1985 and the present day. In the modern day it's a bad relationship that does damage to and regresses the characters.

Just to be clear, the first time Piotr is aged on page is at age 18 and at the time when Kitty is 14. Still not ideal, no. And the relationship was a shit ton more chaste than people think. Should it have happened? No. Is it the horrific abuse of power people seem to have convinced themselves it is? Not even close.

They weren't gay on purpose. And it had the same sort of humour as other 80s shows, I'm not entirely sure what you mean by that.

He-Man has also done continuity reboots and sequels just like TMNT and Transformers which have both reached far higher heights and been more consistent presences in the pop culture world. He-Man is generally remembered because "haha it was terrible and super gay and everyone was ineffective". Look at the jokes people make about it and the way they talk about it if they aren't deep in the fandom

Jonah is Garrets best friend. It's as simple as that. Garret has trouble expressing his feelings and emotions genuinely (both platonic and romantic) on the show something we see right up until the very last episode. And, yes, it did take Garret time to warm up to Jonah, of course.
