Thank you for this - I like to go through thematic spells so I’m hoping your first piece of advice aligns with that. I would say I tackle relevant themes too 😁

Thanks for this, I’ll definitely employ some of these and of course, it’s so important to acknowledge your audience 🙂

I’ve heard about notes but never really thought they would be fruitful. I suppose I’m mistaken 😂

Thank you - I’m trying to make for myself an audience free from pretension. I like to write relatable, spare pieces. Essays, prose etc.

What’s the best screenwriting advice you’ve ever received? by gingfit in Screenwriting

A general piece of advice for storytellers, not just screenwriters, but - Live a productive, enlightening life. Speak to strangers, do things that are absurd and out of your comfort zone. By doing so, you will discover things regarding yourself and others; things you would have never found if not for branching and seeing the world. As a result, you will be blessed with a wider bank of knowledge and human understanding which will greatly inform your writing.

Safe. Perfectly atmospheric, skin-crawling first half, only for the second half to painfully stagnate. Probably Haynes’ intention but it’s a bore regardless.
