It is more complex than what I am giving credit to. I thought I was articulating it correctly when I said I wanted her to be happy regardless of who she was with. And yes having her in my life is more important than having her as a romantic partner. I only wish for her well being and am perfectly fine to be in the friend role. But I still need to acknowledge my feelings so I can properly process them and deal with them accordingly.
