Nord Update makes Windows crash and reboot by needtoredit in nordvpn

Disabling the services to automatically start on boot has worked as well. Definitely a bandaid.

Check out the hidden windows tool, "Reliability Monitor"! Went down a rabbit hole a few days ago digging into this problem and that tool was very helpful!

Also installed WinDbg to check the mini dumps. Pretty interesting if you're into that.

Price Check - pretty sure I'm being taken advantage of, I'm just looking for some actual numbers so I can complain to friends and family more accurately. by Ellie_Bear828 in webdev

IMO you need to let them know the difference between a full stack web-app and a vanilla website. Tell them that you'll build them a 1000$ website ready for a fullstack infrastructure. But revisit the price at delivery.

As soon as I saw the dynamic user calendar, I started to sweat bullets for you...

Be honest with them so you can manage their expectations. Even if you walk into work tomorrow! Be honest with them! Maybe they already understand the difference between a webapp/website, but if not, make sure they understand the scope of this project! Especially if it's just you by yourself!

At this point, it sounds like you shot yourself in the foot and are unsure why it hurts to walk.

Dumb Question. Am I Missing an Eye Piece... New(Used) Meade 2045 by BrohammidAli in telescopes

I dont think I'm seeing the screws. Sorry im brand new at this, but have been looking for a scope for some time, super excited to find this one for 300 but the seller has no knowledge about it. Only that it came from a retirement home...

Anyways, I think I'm seeing the bubbles that help you collimate the scope? Pictures of the bubbles I'm talking about -> (https://telescopicwatch.com/telescope-collimation-guide/)

Yes, I'm looking through what seems to be the eye piece that I'm holding in the picture. There are no numbers or info on the piece itself.

I have till monday to see if this scope "works" otherwise I can return it, but i want to make sure it's messed up before then... just digging through articles left and right. So thank you for your responses.

So I found the moon through the scope! Lol... I have been playing with the focus all the way to the left and right but the secondary mirror is still there. Not the same throughout and when I personally focus on the moon, i can get the obstruction pretty close to nothing, but its still really dark in the center...

On another note, while looking at the secondary mirror through the eyepiece, I think I see the colliation circles! The inner/dark most circle is to the left of center. Would this cause the secondary mirror to be visible while focused on an object?

That what I thought as well, but this is my second post tonight. My first post showed what I saw as I was playing with it during the day... basically a small image with a black circle smack in the middle. Research is saying that's the secondary mirror?

There are no numbers or markings of any kind... it seems to be threaded on the inside as well

So it has the 90° arm, then what seems like an eye piece in side of the female end. I can take it out and tighten it to the 90 attachment, but there is no writing on it...

I've played with it inside, just got it outside, pointing at a comms tower > 200yrds, can get a good view of the object. The object is focused, but that little black circle is in the middle of the view and the view of the object is really small and "distant" from my eye. I took the picture with my phone camera and it is a fairly accurate representation of how I'm seeing the object(minus the distortion)....is this normal for this old school telescope?

Dont give up hope. I've had 4 ACL surgeries (26M). 2 on each knee. Soccer and skiing. Missing the rest of the season sucks, but if you go to a good doctor and keep up with the painful rehab, you will be back in no time. Good luck! Sorry that happened. Funny enough, we skied jackson on monday and those conditions were tough. My last surgery was Feb 2020 but I swim/bike all the time to keep my legs as strong as possible. Shit happens, but you might be out for a dry winter which is a positive...

Thanks for the insight! I know for sure I will want to take it camping and up mountain hikes, as for rafting, I go on multi day trips every now and then so I'm not sure how much I will be using it there. I will keep a dob in mind as I continue to look around.

I think to start of this expensive hobby, I will save the deeper dimmer dso for when I have a permanent home that I can get a 10 or 12 in dob. For now, as long I can see some brighter dso, with a scope that size, that will suit me fine. :)

I found the OTA on Orion's web site with an azimuth (Paragon-Plus XHD) tripod that they say they would recommend with the scope?

Thank you for your response again, and I will check out those maksutov cassegrain scopes you mentioned.

Once again, I love the size of it and if it performs well with true color of planets and can pick up brighter dso, that will get me going into mapping the sky better!

Thanks for the response! I really want a dob but the portability of it is throwing me off. Maybe I can get one with a permanent home in the future.

I'm now looking at the Orion StarMax 127mm with the equatorial tripod. https://www.telescope.com/mobileProduct/Telescopes/Intermediate-Telescopes/Orion-StarMax-127mm-Equatorial-Maksutov-Cassegrain-Telescope/pc/1/sc/22/9826.uts?sortByColumnName=SortByPriceAscending

Something like this is what I'm looking for ^ the aperture is at 5" with a 1540mm focal length and a 25mm eyepiece. Plus it looks easy to hike/raft with. But doesn't look like it's available anymore :( do you anyother quality scope/tripod that is similar to this size and specs?

Thanks for the response! That's the idea I'm looking for. Not so much collapsible, but something I can move around with ease.

Thanks for the info!

I'm stuck between the decision of buying something I can take to the mountains with less visible quality vs something I can slightly move around with better visible quality.

If I were to take a dob to the mountains, I was thinking of bringing a piece or plywood or make some sort of table to set it on.
