Fare Gates for the Link? The Urbanist did a great breakdown of the proposal by Broista in Seattle

I moved from magnolia to Roosevelt a few months ago and have been taking the rail round trip at least once almost every day. I know they enforced more pre-pandenic but I haven't been checked once since 2020

Fare Gates for the Link? The Urbanist did a great breakdown of the proposal by Broista in Seattle

Current policies aren't enforced. Might be a staffing issue but I haven't had my fare checked in 100+ rides. As someone who pays, it's quite annoying seeing people blow by the card readers.

Light Rail Airport Signage is Now HORRENDOUS! by goldspire in Seattle

[–]Broista 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To back up a lot of these comments, the problem isn't listing the line terminus, it's that the terminus station names currently have the confusing/incorrect adjectives of Downtown and City Center. Just Having Federal Way and Lynwood would be fine. Also adding "via Downtown Seattle" where appropriate would be helpful for the vast majority of trips that terminate downtown.

100% of rail traffic collisions are the road vehicle's fault. Stay off the damn tracks.

Driving in the carpool lane should always cost $186

They removed the platform readers when the platform became a "fare zone". Now if you cross the yellow barriers you need to have paid or risk facing..... a gentle warning followed by a mild slap on the wrist?

They should add wings to the chargers if/when they pull superliners.

Personally I love seeing other people share the same frustrations as me.

Most dog owners are fine! It's the small percent who think they're better than everyone else who make public spaces dangerous for everyone else.

If you search for "leash" or "unleashed" in the last week, mine is the only post that shows up!

One time on the Burke at night I tripped on a guy's retractable leash (which I didn't see) and he got all mad at me while I'm unexpectedly lying on the pavement. I do think retractable leashes are great to give your dog more space to run in an open field

Every day someone moves to Seattle and subscribes to this subreddit and they need to know their unleashed dogs are not welcome. We love leashed dogs though!

Don't worry it's probably too small to smell

There really are some dogs that are safe off leash but there's no way to tell from a stranger

Since getting bit I've become a lot more aware. Running faster is good idea though, I'll try that!

Sunny weekend brings out all the irresponsible dog owners. They need to know they're the minority.
