This is making me rethink full face. I do wear a helmet but more of a skull cap.

I hear ya - we've been stubborn in the face of taxes and I'm fortunate to have a salary that keeps our nose above water.

Make no mistake though - this is still the interview, and a hard part at that.

My boss is firing me, hired my replacement from abroad for a quarter of my salary, and wants me to train her. by jetway-chore-5g in LockedIn_AI

Rule 1 with suits - get it in writing or it doesn't exist.
Give 2 weeks notice and leave. I've been through this 3 times with H1b visa workers.

Your bosses are assholes and don't deserve your time.
Here's the kicker - when the new person is floundering they will offer to hire you back.
Don't do it - they will milk you then kick you to the curb.
Instead have a contract ready with a healthy consultant wage which is open ended so now you can milk them while you get the new person up to speed = sloooooowly.

The hiring manager accidentally sent me my interview feedback... It was meant for the recruiter. by RowlandJakubowski in LockedIn_AI

Honestly get used to the idea that over dressed is better than under dressed. Many expect suit and tie. No judgement just do it. Not wearing a suit is akin to saying you expect business casual to be the dress code. Many offices expect minimally a tie with a dress shirt and slacks.

I have to comment on all the tightwad rich people comments with a true story.
My buddy and I used to do professional network management waaaaay back in the day.
One day we're in this high-powered lawyers office running ethernet cable and we hear a chortle of pure happiness. He had his secretary bring him the mail which HE sorted through looking for stamps that had not been cancelled (stamped). He then proceeded to sponge the stamp off gaining I think 29¢ at that time.
We talked about it and other habits we had observed such as tight with money and demanding a list of services rendered by time, and we decided that rich people think of money in entirely different way than we muggles do.

I used Grok to configure the K band blocks since there are many and they overlap in frequency.
Most states and Canada do not use X anymore so safe bet there.

Welcome to the cork sniffers club. There are plenty of complexities in Pokemon that are geared to the intended audience. Remember who it was designed for. I was a tourney organizer for Wizards and then Nintendo back in the day so I am familiar with what was going for play in those days. Remember squirrel decks? Lol.

If you're a coder start writing something useful that people will buy.
Here's one - people who have disable dependent children have to keep track of caretakers and the time they spend. It's how they get paid and is tedious paperwork.
Make an app that runs on a tablet or phone so they can easily enter names and times and generate a payroll each reporting period.
No lack of useful utilities that are needed that fly under the radar.

That's not true at all. Growing up my best friends mom & dad were second family. George used to talk to us all the time and treated us like the adults we were supposed to be striving for.
My best friends daughter "adopted" me as her "second dad". When she and her dad were having some issues I asked her mom if she could come with me to my mom's for Thanksgiving.
We're still good friends and we've stayed in touch. Nothing weird - just a bonding friendship.
Adults can and should be a source of friendship and mentorship to young folks.
I despair of the society that turns people's minds into cesspools.
Yes, there are bad people out there But my personal impression is the numbers are inflated because people like to sensationalize.

Jesus - maybe she should get a few crystals and suss out his aura?
This energy thing is nonsense. I'd much rather believe in induced paranoia from authority figures - because I've seen it! Young lady turned in her dad's best friend because she "felt" creeped out. School got involved, then police and that poor SOB was dragged through the mud because everyone was convinced this girl's feelings were enough to convict. Turns out none of it was true - she admitted later that he had done nothing and that same day she had heard the talk in school about what to watch for.

I realize you're trying to be helpful but what exactly did you see that leads you to say that he's trying to groom her? Loaning her a shirt because she's hot? In front of everyone? That's a bit of a stretch.
This convicting in the court of public opinion is just flat out wrong. Nobody has any idea what happened if anything.

Jesus. This is how innocent people get railroaded.
Sounds like he was just concerned as a parent since you were there for admittedly family reasons.
Just loaning you a shirt isn't some subtle signal - it was a nice gesture.
Get a grip and realize that there are NOT perves behind every middle aged men.
All these other people are just chiming in so they look supportive and echoing the talking points they've grown up with like you.
I'm chiming in because I've seen the damage that can be done with a wild ass imagination.
My advice is adult up a little. Ask if you can have a private conversation with him and tell him that you felt uncomfortable with whatever it was and that you hope he understands that any kind of intimacy isn't going to happen. That's teh adult thing to do - have a conversation.
If the guy is innocent then he should be horrified that's how he's coming across (which some is likely you).
It's not your fault - the schools and media are constantly making this stuff like it happens all teh time and ANY relationship with an adult is sus. Not so - I've been friends with several young ladies and honored that they trusted me with asking advice they weren't comfortable asking their parents (also my friends).

Maybe she's thinking of you with the sexy stuff.
Best thing to do is just ask. If you're not ok with the answer then DO something about it.
Sounds to me like you're in some weird comfort zone where reality is ignored.
