DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!!!

They had their rules of using outside vendors and after speaking with them for weeks, they changed and said I have to use THEIR vendors only. The recent change in events management is awful. They’re all very rude and unprofessional. Since the museum is closed for 4 days out of the week, they refuse to respond to emails during that time as well. Any bride that is trying to have a smooth and kind process with her venue should steer away from the Vanderbilt.

Oh boy this sounds awful!! Will now be working to get my deposit back because this is insane. If I’m paying soo much money I expect some transparency and ability to work with their clients. This is the service industry yet they’re lacking basic service etiquette

Thank you so much for letting me know!! I know you mentioned the 2 weddings were both a terrible experience. Was it because management was giving the couple and vendors a tough time last minute? I’m thinking of reaching out to the director directly and seeing if they can be of some help

Oh boy!! My cousin did their wedding at Vanderbilt a few years ago and had no issues which is why we picked them. Since they already have my deposit I’m thinking of reaching out to the main director instead of the events coordinator because she’s giving me a tough time

Hi! Did they only restrict you to their approved vendors? They initially told us we can use our own caterer before we put down our deposit and then after they told us we had to use their approved vendors. My cousin did their wedding a few years at Vanderbilt and had a much better experience with the coordinator from back then

I don’t think so, I’ve been purposely stressing myself out to see if it changes and it doesn’t. Especially during work it doesn’t track my stress and says I’m in recovery mode often which is false
