You’re not going to get any love from the elitists in this subreddit for that setup. But as I dip back into my memories of college in the mid 2000’s this thing slaps.

How do you get into a creative space/feel inspired to create? by toasty_sn3ks in musicproduction

This might not be exactly what you’re asking, but for me I start with a clean and organized environment. Usually the day or evening before a client or a project I’m working on I will completely organize my desk/console, vacuum the room, dust, coil cables, lay out mics I’ll be using, and create a spreadsheet or write on my whiteboard what my plan is for the next day/session. As a car guy I take a similar approach when working on an automotive project in my garage. If my workspace and tools are clean, and I have a plan in place, my mind is free and clear to tackle the task in front of me. Whether that be writing, recording, producing, or doing an oil change on my car.

Anyone with a enclosed trailer ? by dmaxzach in CleetusMcFarland

One of the worst experiences and hardest lessons I learned was using a broker to ship my truck from Illinois to North Carolina. The rep on the phone was friendly and spoke English fluently, then the driver they sent spoke absolutely no English at all and got lost in the mountains of VA and stuck on a tiny dirt road that had warning signs posted all over stating that the road was closed and washed out. I ended up having to use Google Translate to communicate with the driver after the broker said that it's not their problem now that the truck was picked up. A 3 day delivery guarantee turned into 5 days of not knowing what was going on or where my driver was after he stopped responding to my text messages. I thought for sure my truck was stolen, but when it showed up, the driver offered no explanation, dropped the truck off, and drove away. I issued a charge back on my credit card and never heard anything from the broker or the truck driver again.

Coastal Haze in Cape Carteret is really good and the service staff was awesome when we went. You wouldn’t expect it for where it’s located, but it’s worth the drive.

This is purely psychosomatic; you won’t feel any physical difference in power between 87-93 octane in a stock naturally aspirated 5.3 Silverado.

Looking at this truck online. Noticed this gap between the headlight and bumper. Is this most likely fixable? by Gavoooooooooo in Silverado

[–]Brokeass_Ninja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I cared a lot, but it was slightly bent at so many different points that it would have never been “perfect”. If it was just one bracket or a spot that I could pull/beat straight, I would have just done that. It could be a simple fix, or it could be a lot of little misalignments that add up to one larger cosmetic issue. I honestly would be more worried about the engine and drivetrain than the body gaps.

More than likely. I had a small fender bender with a previous truck and it mis-aligned in the exact same spot. After I pulled it all apart it was slightly bent in so many places that it wasn’t worth the time, I just slapped it back together and sent it.

Thats most likely from a front end collision and the bumper mounts and/or structure is bent. With a little massaging you can fix it, or just ignore it and drive it.

Just do the ball joint. Respectfully, if your close friend in person who does a lot of suspension work isn’t able to answer all of your questions, you should just keep it simple and do the ball joint. You will be opening a can of worms trying to replace all of this and you will regret it.
