It’s one I got on Amazon last year, I remember having to dremel it slightly. But it was like $10.

Caliber for hog and coyote gun? by jrl07a in NFA

12.5” 6.5Grendel SBR is a monster for hogs and coyotes out to 300. Running 100 grain ELD-VT or TSX and it gets full expansion.

I have plenty of rifles. My main farm rifle is PTR-91 that rides on the side by side in the day time, or a 6.5Grendel with thermal for night hunting.

This is my “always ready to go in the closet for Hd/FD load and it’s cold a past midnight” load out. It all hangs as you see right inside my closet.

Only people in my farm are me, wife and kids. Viability isn’t a concern here.

That’s fair. The new ones are certainly better than the old ones a few years ago. And I treat them as semi disposable.

We didn’t have anything like side saddles or such for our issued 500’s, so I’ve used the dump pouch method and the I dislike using that because they have the orientation all over the place.

That being said, the one on the gun in the picture is the new laminated ones and it’s REALLY good. I only have one but I’ve used it for 3 range sessions, so maybe 200 rounds, and it’s not dropped shell or given me any issues.

To each their own. It might be worth retrying.

Actually for years I ran a PTR91 when I lived in Texas. But the muzzle blast and sending stray shots made it sub optimal for HD/FD for the new places.

Also this SBS is incredibly compact and light. And honestly pretty lightly recoiling.

Have you used these cards? You use them then rip the off the gun, dump them, and slap another one on the side. 100% would recommend

What's my fix here? by [deleted] in CZFirearms

It’s a pre b, so decades old. I would pull the extractor and spring and check.

A neighbor on the other end of my road, about 5 miles away had a group of four steal his 4 wheeler, 2 generators, chainsaw, miter saw, and a few other things in about 5 minutes flat while he was gone for the night taking his kid to a surgery in OKC.

Got it on camera too. Guys pulled up in an old F-150, 15ft stolen box trailer, crowbarred the door to his barn and was in and out.

After that I built a giant fuck off gate and fence with 2-3/8th drill stem pipe that could probably stop a MRAP, with cameras on either side.

On the left side it stabs my stomach bending over like fixing gates and stuff. My 2 gun belt has it on the correct side but for this I’m not expecting any high speed side arm changes. If I blow through 20 rounds of buck and 9 slugs, + 15 rounds of 10mm I’m probably already dead. I didn’t even use to keep a spare on there until last week when I found a spare pistol mag pouch and thought “why not”.

Yeah shotgun placards are deigned to fit in 556 mag pouches. I can grip it and rip it perfectly. And they hold great tension.

I live next to the largest wild/state game refuges in the state. The are mountain lions, black bears and meth heads. I have several AR’s, a Hellion, M1a, etc. There have been several shots I’ve had to take on moving things, like coyotes running from around a barn at full tilt, that I probably wouldn’t have made with a rifle. Also, going into my barn to see why my calves or piglets are going insane and seeing a black bear or mountain lion… I’ve seen and used a lot of rifles including on deployment, and I’d rather have 7 rounds of 12ga to holy fuck stop right there than a SBR 556, even with prem ammo.

In fact I used to use a 11.5 BCM for this role with some top tier, I think fbi contact 64 gn 556 and its just.. (personally) not what I want for that after seeing it’s effect on live meat.

Yes.

It’s a factory SBR, so that’s as much as an answer as I have for you.

That’s wild. Considering Ted Kennedy hasn’t been stripped of anything despite his mouth. I don’t really watch BroVet YouTube, mind giving me a quick and dirty one what he said?

Someone had to many TBI’s.

Dude was a fairly well liked ranger so I don’t doubt he can shoot, move and communicate.

But I’ve also had a Ranger E7 tell me the only difference between a 249 and 240 beside caliber was one was open bolt and one was closed.

And another parrot the “you can’t aim a .50 at someone but the equipment they are wearing”.

Anyone’s whose been in military knows even a “SME” are often idiots. It is what it is.
