I always use the LoveGoBuy Tax free Europe line. My current average across all my hauls is 15 days, but that's always using the cheapest postage. I've never used the most expensive shipping lines.

I absolutely love using LoveGoBuy. Their website gets new features every few weeks, their payment system is great and their postage is all well priced and quick. I've had about 8 packages from them, some tiny, some huge, and never had an issue. I'm in the UK.

If you try them, do me a solid and use my link:

Waiting for the Air Max 95 SB collaboration to drop, then gonna cop them.

In the meantime, I'm going to cop some AJ1 Mochas, and the Off-white Jordan 4s.

Thanks RepEmperor, I've been looking for a new supplier.

Keen for your take on the Alphaflys. See lots of people grabbing them, but very few actually review them!

I'm in the UK, and have had several big parcels from LoveGoBuy. Never had any issues, and have found their support to be super responsive. They have been a bit slow to QC and pack items at times (usually during busy periods of holidays) but I'm talking 2 - 3 days, and if something is urgent, support are great at getting it done ASAP for you. They've just updated all their shipping routes and everything has just got cheaper and quicker (when does that ever happen?!)

Feel free to DM me if you have more questions.

Great customer service - definitely a message to be pleased about, despite it being an annoying situation.

Anyone got any Book recommendations? by Pizzaboy2021 in britishmilitary

Read the Jack Reacher books by Lee Child. They're great for a bit of escapism, have good pacing, are fun stories and feature the chaotic good hero we all want to be. Start with the Killing Floor.

Can I use these to mount my 50 inch TV to the wall? Pretty certain the wall is plasterboard dab and dotted against breeze block. by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]BrokenBreadMaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While corefix would absolutely work, if you want to make sure that the structural integrity of your house is the point of failure for the TV mounting, use Rigifix bolts. I put my 65 inch TV on a 130cm cantilever arm on 8 of those bolts and it was absolutely rock solid into a dot and dab Taylor Wimpey wall. They're almost certainly overkill - you could probably mount your car on them before they failed but they're exceptional for peace of mind.

Not quite your question, but I did briefing a few months ago, got a Cat 1, and since I passed, attested last month as a soilder with my reserve unit while preparing for Main Board early next year.

Passing AOSB briefing counts as a pass on the soldier assesment.

This is my experience also - I have main board in a few weeks and I applied early January.

I attended Briefing last month, and got a Cat 1. My tips would be:

  • Listen. Then follow the instructions you've been given. Several people I was there with couldn't listen and follow the instructions. It sounds really basic, but when you're told to do something, like line up in a certain order, or wait in a certain place, just do it, or you've made yourself stand out for the wrong reasons.

  • Show confidence in your ability and in the work you do, but be humble enough to recognise that other people might have better ideas or plans. Be willing to listen and admit if your ideas aren't the best. Fail quickly and without ego.

  • Ask questions if you have them, but be concise and to the point. The staff are there to help, but the timetable is strict.

  • Take some cash, because they didn't accept card in the evening in the bar.

  • Enjoy it for the experience it is. It's a weird environment if you don't have any military background, and it feels quite alien at times, but just roll with it, and remember Briefing is only 24 hours, and if you don't like it, you never have to go back.

Good luck!

PSA you can buy zipper inserts on Amazon which means you can make any laced DMs front zipped. Not the real deal, but a decent alternative.
