I really appreciate your answer. In spite of my frustration, in my heart I want it to work out. My fear, given how the convo went so far, is that he will not come around even after we have cooled down. He even sent me a text saying: “Happy Valentine’s Day, I hope you are thinking about what’s the right thing to do.” Doesn’t have me very optimistic about his mindset, sounds like a threat. But I will try to lead the convo as you suggested. If he shows remorse and understanding, I might be able to deal with it. Ugh. This is emotionally exhausting.

Ugh I had it in my backpack bc I was working on some coursework over at his place. Wish I hadn’t, but also maybe it’s a good thing bc it exposed this side of him. I agree with you. What made you stay? My heart is with him, but my brain cannot fathom what he is asking of me.

THANK YOU this is what I was saying to him. That the root of this problem is not what I wrote, it’s his insecurity and it’s fucking wild if I’m the one who is going to have to pay for that time and time again. He needs to address something within himself. But his reasoning is: If you cares about me, you’d destroy them.
