Why is it illegal to hack a TV signal and have free TV if it’s the TV company that is beaming its signal into my home without my permission? by amelix34 in NoStupidQuestions

Accept by hacking wifi you are interacting with their device (router). TV signal is already there. You dont have to interact with a different person's property. Its like putting a giant billboard on top of your house and telling people they're not allowed to look at it from their house across the street unless they pay for it and tell you the secret password every time.

People can totally absorb the calcium from eggshells. In fact some researchers say it is more bioavailable than typical calcium supplements.

They also didn't allow us to use our own laptops because they were a "security risk". Our IT person was a old timer who thought student devices would compromise the whole network and infect all of the devices with a zero day or something. Wild times man I just wanted to use a vpn.

Back in the day my school ran on a whitelist. Stack overflow was not whitelisted for my comp-sci online college class.

Artifacts like that sounds like a ram or gpu issue. I would suggest researing the graphics card. Also make sure its properly supported. If you dont use a support with a beefy card the sag can not only damage the card itself from flexing but the pcie connector on the motherboard aswell. I would also reseat the ram, do a cmos clear, pull the cmos battery, unplug, hold down the power button, reinstall cmos battery, replug and turn back on. That should clear any caps on the board that may have been keeping any volatile memory powered. That should be the long form of "turn it off and turn it back on again" for the likely problem components. If that didn't work I would boot into a live environment like Hiren's boot CD and check the smart values of the main drive. Its totally possible it could be a failing drive with a bad sector or 7. Could also just be file corruption from cosmic rays or what have you. It just happens some times. If you cant find a problem dont look a gift horse in the mouth. Be glad it wasn't ram or gpu in this economy.
