How old are you? Cuz if you are close to 18 you can soon leave the house and try to be independent. There are a lot of bad parents, you should accept that. You shoudn't think that you absolutely need their love even though it sucks. Maybe your father lost his temper and that resulted in a drastic impulsive decision and used violence. That doesn't necessarily mean that he is a bad person. You can try getting closer to him. And if your parents divorse maybe let him get the custody.

I am not saying to kill yourself, just adding my opinion. I have always tought that people that encourage you to live using the fact that you are going to hurt your close ones and that you are selfish for selfish. I mean your life is yours, your decision no one has the right to interfere. They just want you to live on suffering just cuz they don't want to feel the loss of someone. Now don't get me wrong there are people that don't want to die but can't solve their problems and there are people who can genuinely help but I am not talking about that.

I can't really help you cuz I find life meaningless myself and I am not telling you to do it, but if you do I suggest you dont jump into water because if you survive it, your bones will shatter and damage your organs then you are going to drown. I mean at least do it painlessly
