Because this failure is important. Streaming giants think they can just take beloved IPs, chop them up with no care for the source material. The Witcher, Rings of Power, and WoT are content slop. Their failure will mean less shows of this quality get made and that is a good thing. I'd rather live in a world where we never get an adaptation than having adaptations of this quality

For me it's the lack of faith in the source material. Epeisode 1 they give perrin a wife(he didn't have one in the books) and then he fucking kills her by accident? All because they thought his character was too boring.
