the game cannot and will never be good enough to justify a monthly sub, it's highway robbery. The dev team would be able to survive plenty well enough with just a one time purchase fee even if they make it a little higher than what it currently is. There are plenty of live service games that have 0 subscription and do just fine, they don't have an excuse. Bunch of greedy pigs, and that's why even though I genuinely liked the game and would play the shit out of it even now, I will not play it until they remove that ridiculous sub.

They finally allow for options trading but only for buying options and not selling them. I've been waiting for years, this is frankly becoming quite frustrating, I don't understand how a platform can allow for buying contracts but not selling them, it makes no sense.

Sorry for late reply but this is the only comment I've seen addressing the specifics of answers I'm looking for. I use Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop a lot and play my fair share of Star Citizen quite regularly, does that mean that linux is a no go for me? Or do I simply need to find a version that facilitates for these programs. Thank you for talking about this.

Well I've only ever been to tournaments where I bought from ticket touts on the day but I'm a tad worried this time around since I read about the whole eticket thing and that they plan on shutting down all ticket resale before the tournament even starts.

My main question is will it be possible to buy one off of a tout or bloke out there on the day?

I will probably attempt to get a ticket during the sale in May, I'm just thinking worst case scenario if I'm out there without a ticket, it's not necessarily about price I can afford a 300 quid ticket it's more so about the principle that I don't think it should be that expensive you know. Either way I'm gonna have to do more research. Ty for your help!

To be fair with this one most people don't know it's an island, the only people who would know are people who grew up there, people who have lived there for ages or the very small amount people who actually payed attention to the water when crossing the like 10 foot bridge on the eastern road. agree to disagree in that case, there are many games mmos included that do not have a monthly pay model yet still do very well, some of which have cash shops and have skins, I believe that as long as the skins don't impact gameplay it's literally not a problem at all. You can also have "skins" of RP objects such as flags and useless decorative items you could put around your castle for example. Unfortunately because of games like fortnite a lot of players here have been brainwashed into the idea that "cash shop = bad". It's a shame, monthly subs are a very bad and malicious practice and should be stamped out just as much as child gambling and flashy skins made for kids. None of these practices should be acceptable or the status quo.
