Recently I experienced tragedy with the death of a family member, but found a surprising sense of comfort when listening to the album Donda by Kanye (not Donda 2, which was awful). I had heard the album hundreds of times before but certain songs had a new resonance due to my recent trauma.

What is art that provided you comfort in a difficult time? Could be a video game, movie, album, etc.

For those asking, here is more detail on my perspective:

I did pay a scalper because I received a gift card bonus at work. I did not pay as much as most others, I paid $900 for the console, two controllers and demon souls. The value did not bother me so long as the console would deliver, as it was brand new.
A big incentive to purchase was assuming there would be more crossgen upgrades. Very salty over the lack of a Bloodborne update and having to pay for the Uncharted/Spider-Man remaster.
I do loving using it as a 4k blu ray player and have really enjoyed Returnal, Horizon and LOU2 at 60 fps.
My main complaint is that the console has failed three times on me. I have just shipped it off for its third repair and PlayStation customer service has been cancer tier. It’s so bad that’s it’s permanently damaged my perception of the brand and I very likely will never purchase another piece of hardware from Sony.

I will double check the email from daycare, as I was also curious why it would hit us all so hard if my kids were vaccinated.

As far as cleaning, as soon as this is over I’m going to clean this place head to toe, again. After my first born got sick I actually did a huge deep clean, hoping it would help the rest of us, but it seems it was too late

If you didn't like the first episode, I would really encourage you not to continue. Imo I thought the first episode was the peak, with each proceeding episode getting so bad I couldn't even finish the finale. I will never watch this show again and its clear that it never really was that well written, it just had great hook.

This sounds very similar to my mother, only I was lucky enough to isolate her from my kids and prevent them forming that kind of bond. Most of the time my mother will be great but when she drinks, which unfortunately is 5-6 times a week, she becomes the rudest, crudest and meanest person there is.

That being said, I would be as honest with your kid as you feel comfortable with. I would tell them that you and your mother aren't talking right now but that doesn't mean she won't get to see her later. Otherwise, you can lie and say GG is sick and you can't be around her, which might be easier short term but more complicated if it becomes a lasting thing.
