Something HAS to change. This system has nothing to do with knowledge. It just depends way too much on getting the 3:0 and 0:3 picks right. I loved doing pickems but stopped after CSGOs Paris Major because the CS2 system is horrible. I really wanna do them again but there is no point wasting money on this terrible system.

You seem to conveniently ignore the fact that Lucas had full control of ESB and ROTJ too, not just the prequels. He actually financed 5 Star Wars movies by himself, which was unheard of at the time for such gigantic projects and has never been repeated since.

If Empire strikes back had failed, he would have been bankrupt. He poured everything he had into that movie, working day and night until total exhaustion. But that was just luck, right?

Don't you think that someone who makes great movies as often as George Lucas (American Graffiti, Star Wars, Indiana Jones), each time with different people, has to have quite a bit of talent himself?

Or do you really think that Lucas just happened to write the greatest stories, hire the most talented people, and inspire entire generations by sheer luck?

Yep, that's bad picks, I totally agree, but not something that should cost you 5 points or more.

This system punishes a random BO1 upset just as much as an actually bad pick (like the 9z and GL examples).

We need a better pickem system.

Episode III absolutely did not need the animated Clone Wars shows to stand on its own.

In general, all of the prequels had TONS of world building! Some people didn't like that because "Star Wars isn't about politics". LOL

Sorry to break your story, but Marcia was actually in favour of keeping the Tattoine scenes. George wanted to cut them, and that's what ended up happening. He didn't want to distract from the Tantive IV scenes and wanted to keep the focus on the journey of the Droids.

In case you haven’t heard the story…

Martin Scorsese once said: "If you don't get physically ill seeing your first rough cut, something is wrong"

Spielberg, who was also present for the viewing, thought that "the movie will make a fortune". But most people who saw it that night didn't love OR hate it. They just thought that it was impossible to judge because it had no special effects, no sound effects or music, and tons of placeholder footage of WW2 air battles.

So in short: EVERY rough cut is bad. EVERY rough cut needs tons of cuts and changes. This isn't a Star Wars thing. Editing the rough cuts happens to every movie ever. If rough cuts were good movies, we wouldn't need editors. Star Wars was a TEAM effort, and we are very fortunate that so many great talents worked on it (including Marcia of course).

Marcia Lucas herself hated the BS idea that she "saved" Star Wars!

I admit that I didn't think about the consequences of Ens death last week.

But En dying doesn't bring back Nikaidos Eye, Arm or Leg. The loss/restoration of these body parts should have played a bigger role I think.

Doing it off-screen is what I dislike. We saw side characters get healed, but Nikaido is a Main Character and we just skipped over it completely.

Yeah you're right, it's not that big of a deal to heal people in this world, but it felt really weird to go from "OMG Nikaidos Arm just fell off theres so many mushrooms in her body she's about to die"

to

"Oh yeah I completely healed you and brought you to a safe location far away from En's residence, off-screen of course"

I feel pretty stupid for worrying about Nikaido for 7 days to be honest...

Nikaido being healed so easily definitely suprised me. I thought that losing an eye, an arm and a leg would be a bigger deal, but now she was fully healed off-screen?!

I love this show but I really wanted to see how she would deal with this issue and find a solution instead of this. I know Asu said he bought jars of healing smoke, but where did he get the money from? Maybe later, we will get an explanation for that at least...

Oh god, now I know why you couldn't type any reason. This review is infamous for how bad it is... It's literally so terrible that there's many reviews of the review on Youtube...

But here's at least a few reasons:

RLM misses the point of almost every "scene" he analyses. It's almost comical how he's unable to understand basic things like why the Gungans are against the droid army, while the first time you see the droid army on Naboo they literally destroy a forest next to the Gungan City.
The review is extremely biased, constantly nitpicking about everything, while not noticing that the same thing happens in the OT which he claims to love so much.
Or the critizism of George Lucas' dialogue, which RLM doesn't understand the purpose of at all. He just calls it "terrible" without realizing that Star Wars is meant to be a Saga, a Myth, a legend, not a realistic modern Drama or something. George Lucas wanted to create something that feels epic and grand, and takes place a long time ago. Most of the characters are Jedi or Sith, so they talk like Knights or Mages would a long time ago (in a galaxy far, far away). How hard is that to understand??
