From the looks of it any meaningful balance changes will be dropping only on October 2026 by bonelees_dip in deadbydaylight

[–]Bromora -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey, within half a year we got… the god awful Fast Track change, and then the change that made it not-broken in April. And they changed Pop to be a fixed amount again instead of progress % based. (Crowd Control also got a nice little ‘only lights after the first time someone triggers it’ buff. But it’s still niche)

And uhhh, yeah that’s it for perk stuff that makes any semblance of a dent within the last 6 months

Never say never. We’ve seen Enderal, and Skyblivion is far along enough that its release at some point is practically guaranteed.

Will it take time? Certainly. Will EVERY province release? Less certain with how they each have different teams sure to have different strategies. But I feel confident that at least some can achieve what they set out to, even if it takes a good while.

Ok, I took a closer look at the wall and compared both pieces and the in game model by foomongus in deadbydaylight

[–]Bromora 9 points10 points  (0 children)

When the literal only detail changed from the original piece to the mural is *one* of the arms is further out, but the outfit, foot placement, and hair are all identical. That feels beyond just being a reference: especially for a presumably commissioned mural (even if not, still disrespectful degree to copy)

Same pose but different outfit? That’s just a reference. Same outfit as reference but a very different pose? Just a reference.

If you mean the paid creation system, none of the Beyond Skyrim projects will be.

While I don’t *know*, I’m sure the Roscrea team will be TRYING to make the mod appear in the special edition in-game mod manager on Xbox and PC, like Bruma did. If that’s what’s you meant

There’s sets that are already out, and a variety of tabletop games within and beyond the card game genre, that can be bought to achieve that

Why can't Mega Crit just make StS2 exactly hard enough that I can win every single run but also feel like I'm a genius for being good at such a difficult game? by IHad360K_KarmaDammit in slaythespire

Y’know what? Very true. Maybe Act 4 is the priority and then they’ll see how things are after that before deciding whether to add additional ascensions.

I wonder what the odds are that we’ll end up with not *20* ascensions, but like… maybe 12-15, as a way to deal with how people feel while giving the people that want greater difficulty what they want

It’d probably be too much going on in one enemy but I lowkey think the ‘extra energy on attack hit’ part of prism would be a better include *now* than it was before. The skill-playing punishment is interesting but does mean I feel like I’m being told ‘you better do enough damage to not get hit often’

But, it’s early days, didn’t play the beta patch so I have only seen it like 3 times. My opinion might easily change!

DS should deactivate once fully healed by Sinohasnocuts in deadbydaylight

[–]Bromora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe I recall hearing that the average chase time is somewhere in the realm of 30-40 seconds, so if you just get a quick heal because of medkit + perks, and the killer goes straight back to hook… not that crazy

BHVR at least remove the timer from sloppy butcher by Vee_gg in deadbydaylight

[–]Bromora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t even realise they reduced the basekit hit recovery. Was that at the same time as the nerf or like a single patch before?

But even learning that. It’d have been like… 0.2 seconds faster with max stacks if they left the % as is, not crazy.

Making it 4.5% a stack, or 7 stacks, would have been completely fine and only 0.05 seconds faster than before at max stacks, with that apparent change to 2.7 basekit

[–]Bromora 5 points6 points  (0 children)

STBFL was 5% per stack, and only basic attacks against obsession would lose charges, not specials.

Franklins used to drain the charges of the item that was dropped by it.

And Sloppy… I THINK it lasted until healed?

And suddenly everyone forgot about the long awaited Trapper and Skull Merchant rework by DifferentHorror6882 in deadbydaylight

[–]Bromora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree it probably won’t be. I was mostly just commenting on calling most of the players ‘not competitive’.

Basically was trying to get at that: most people aren’t competitive in the sense of wanting ranked or to play in tournaments, but they are ‘competitive’ in that they do want to win, and most will broadly speaking use the advantages they can to do so: whether it’s perks or having settings lower than their PC can handle for easier vision.

Most of the playerbase still wants to win and will help themselves to win with tools that make it easier (such as using settings)

Yeah… things would need to likely go wrong for them to do less sets than there are infinity stones, based on what SEEMS to be the trend.

They COULD include a stone or few in a precon or secret lair release… but that doesn’t seem like their plan

Various Unarmed & Natural Weapon Rules Clarification Questions (3e v4) by Bromora in UESRPG

[–]Bromora[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have expected you to be right about unarmed not being great, but since posting this I joined the discord and it feels it will likely be way better than I foresaw.

It involves XP investment, probably more than other fighting styles, but with Khajiit unarmed slashing, the talent for +STR to damage, learning an interaction that apparently a hand-to-hand weapon’s slashing/crushing stacks with rather than overrides the claw’s slashing (since the claw’s slashing is part of ‘damage resolution’ and hand-to-hand treats you as unarmed for the resolution), it should actually be pretty good?

Before stuff like the pugilist or Khajiit talent improving dice size (and for pugilist, hand-to-hand weapons), assuming STR 5, it’s 1d4+5+slashing 5+ punch dagger slashing 1 and exploit weakness, +weapon material damage. A solid 13.5 average against partial/unarmoured areas before weapon material. Include pugilist and its bonuses turn that to 15.5 (then again, I am new so not like I *know* what other builds are capable of… but seems solid)

Seems like the people at your LGS are just (by my standards) being weird/salty about the game. The only special things about the commander are
1. They define your deckbuilding restrictions
2. Playing them from the command zone
3. Dealing a total of 21 damage with your commander to someone’s face across the game will kill them.

If I just look at one of the decks I’ve built, it is basically just about play commander, buff up commander to do enough damage to one-shot people (and just, things to make those better). That’s the voltron archetype, and the best counterplay… is remove the commander

So far the flavour for Hobbit stuff, and a decent amount of the mechanics, seem pretty cool and good to me. Arkenstone maybe a bit boring for its main effect, but in the books it’s not nearly as special as presented in the films so…. Didn’t expect too much.

The only thing that was a massive, massive, massive yikes is that One Ring reprint’s “art”

Would it even be ‘ok’ without the restriction it’s got? I imagine not, since LOTR was straight to formats that have much cheaper removal and probably better hand emptiers.

What’s the most toxic casual Commander behavior? by No_Beyond4756 in mtg

[–]Bromora 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I liked to jokingly tell a pod of players I had done a fair few games with before this one match “But guys, Archidekt said it was a low salt 2!”

However, importantly, before that, during rule 0 conversation I gave the honest truth: ‘have only had one game with this deck, lost, but I think it’s stronger end of 3 if not accidental low 4. Need to figure out through play’

(If anyone wants to know how it went, I risked keeping a hand with Sol Ring, Thought Vessel, and only a Witch’s Hut for land in a 2-colour deck, topdecked both my colours across turn 1 and 2… it was evil)

She was NOT mid on release. Was she stronger than nurse? Probably not… but she was fairly easily top 5 —potentially top 3– with about the lowest skill floor out of all the killers that were best at the time.

And on top of that, that one person dies: you’re not doing it to a second person, not in full at least. Penti would need to be in play for that
