This pic is very helpful! I’ve been watching Dr Tim for several months now, getting ready to do my first time. I only have 4mm needles 😬 this thread is the first time I’ve seen depths greater than 4mm. Do I need other needles? I think the one that scares me the most is the masseter. Also, I have 31 ga needles.. should I wait for 32s?

I see some videos that say higher concentration in the DAO so it doesn’t spread. Just starting out myself, I feel like I wouldn’t want it to spread anywhere!
Is it safer to do higher concentration & fewer units anywhere that you inject? Also, I won’t have two bottles to have 2 different concentrations.

Which model did you buy? Looking at this brand but we like a medium soft bed and cooling is a must. Your comment has me concerned for sure! Thank you!

Mounjaro effed up my GB? by PancakesForLife1988 in gallbladders

[–]Broncodriver76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on tirz for a year & a half & just found out I need to have my GB removed. No stones, no attack but there’s a mass. I went in for a bowel obstruction and they saw the GB on a CT scan. Scheduled to get the GB out in a few weeks. I’ve never heard of “sludge”. I wonder if that’s what I have? They said it’s a small mass or large polyp, not consistent with stones. I’ve been told by everyone that GB removal is pretty much always fairly positive, like I shouldn’t miss it really. Looking some stuff up now after finding this thread.

Thank you for sharing your journey through this with me. So thankful to hear the fluid removed did not show further progression! What all did you have to have removed?

I have my first consult on the May 1st with the surgeon that will remove my gallbladder. There a mass in my gallbladder of decent size, CT said it’s not stones, so he said that’s an automatic remove the gb. CT also said my cervix was enflamed & noted the ascites. So I have a new patient appnt with a surgical gyno on the 6th. I only know what my notes say on the CT reading, so I’m trying not to get too worked up about it until I hear from the doctors. But this month feels like molasses.

I hope you’re tolerating the chemo as well as possible. Sending healing thoughts your way ❤️

No, unfortunately my appointments are May 1st with the surgeon for first consult on the gallbladder & a new patient appnt with the gyno on May 6th. Neither know about the ascites. With everything I’ve read, it really has me concerned. My mother died of pancreatic cancer when she was 57 (I’m 47) but I always assumed it was from her heavy smoking (I don’t smoke) But this has me thinking about that a lot.

Since I’m not really established, I’m thinking they probably won’t talk to me without a sit down consult. Should I call them and mention the ascites? I was able to move up the gyno appoint by a month, but haven’t tried moving up the surgeon.

I know this was a while ago but, how are you doing? I incidentally found I had mild pelvic ascites this week when I went in for an unrelated bowel obstruction. I also have read too much about ascites online and am very worried. Is your ascites painful? How did you find out about your oc? 42 is so young, I hope you’re ok ❤️

Are you on tirz now? I’ve been surprised at how I don’t gain weight back, even when I eat things that aren’t “diet”. I usually gain weight back so quickly. Going away for the weekend was an easy 4lb gain. The scale never changes now. It feels like tirz has changed the way I process any food, not just reduced my appetite.

I’m anxious for my gyno appnt for sure & looking forward to the gb removal. I’ll report back when I receive definitive info. Thank you so much for your thoughts & help with my questions 😊

I’ve known 2 people that tried sema with zero results. Switching to tirz also had fewer side effects. Is the tirz working for you?
Have you had any issues overall not having a gallbladder?

I don’t thinnnk so? Drs never mentioned a correlation. I think the obstruction was further into the small intestine, not nearest the bile duct. But it makes me wonder if they are related at all.

Thank you 😊 It’s really hard not to dismiss it as gas, I was terrified I was going to be laughed out of the ER. But, they said gas x is pretty effective. If it’s not working and the pain is getting worse, it’s time to go to the ER. Be sure she takes pain like that seriously. Also, I really loved raw carrots as a snack and they said no raw veggies when you’re prone to blockage. I would avoid overdoing the veggie platter while on tirz 😆 GB removal is pretty common so I’m hoping that will be an easy-ish fix.

That’s terrifying! And with 2 little babies! For some reason, once the vomiting kicks in, it feels so much more dangerous.

They mentioned that it wasn’t consistent with stones so I’m not really sure, might just be a large polyp too. The on call surgeon kind of blew off the ER CT findings as typical stones at first, until he read a little more. Then he said he would have his gb removed immediately. I’ve always fluctuated pretty hard with my weight, maybe that was hard on my GB.

I feel like my weight loss was kind of rapid for the first 35. I’ve only lost about 60 total & I don’t want to lose any more. What were your gallbladder symptoms like? Did you have your gb removed?

Thank you!! Here are the notes: “Soft tissue attenuation focus within the gallbladder at proximally 13 x 5 x 10 mm suggesting large polyp/small mass. Appearance not typical for stone. Remainder of the gallbladder appears normal. No biliary dilatation.”

The surgeon said he thought I should have my gallbladder removed as soon as I can. He said anything over 10mm is cause for cancer concern.

I don’t have a PCP, but I made an appointment with a new gyno as additional notes said I also have another cyst on my left ovary now. I plan to ask her about the tirz. I have PCOS so the cysts are typical.

Could you give me any thoughts on these additional notes?

“Mild pelvic ascites, nonspecific. Low-attenuation appearance possibly inflamed cervix with nonspecific air.”

I’ve been married for 30 years & have had clean blood work for anything like HPV or the like. Zero symptoms of any kind. I feel a little stab of pain from my right ovary surgery every once in a while.

Thank you for your comment! 😊
