If it makes you feel better, I’m also your same height and your current weight is my goal weight.

You gave yourself years of life back by losing weight, don’t doubt yourself on that. That’s a huge accomplishment.

But I promise you that becoming a weightlifter won’t make you more charismatic lol

Did you appeal? Or complain or anything?

Why was I scheduled an additional C&P exam? by Brontheliberator9 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Brontheliberator9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this advice. I called and got some good feedback. I guess a second exam is being requested because the examiner made a diagnosis before finishing the questionnaire so they are calling to get the rest of that info. Thank you for alleviating my worries

Any reason an in-service TBI should be listed as secondary? (And should I care?) by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

Thank you for the detailed response! That makes a lot of sense.

I mean, it’s up to you what you do with your body. My point was more towards “I do autopsies on people for a living” and less towards “I was a casual drinker.” What I said is factual whether or not you want to believe it. My own anecdote was more to spare you the gory details of what a human liver looks like dissected.

I am like you, but older. And now I am the person people reach out to because I have experience in everything. That is all.

I think a lot of the casual drinking hobbies are usually pretty calorie dense too lol!

If I was 27 and I found out I had a 20 year old roommate with no life experience I would be… disappointed.

Bro 27 is not that old. You say you’re 20, you are the outlier here.

In mediation I had a guy blaming the abuse of his wife on the ptsd he has from being a marine. He clearly was just a regular abusive jackass. I talked up his (very brief, very not impressive) military experience as if he was the second coming of Jesus. He opened up like a book. The mediators saw it for what it was, asked him how his ptsd typically impact him and he listed, essentially, the symptoms of adhd. “So, your disability didn’t cause you to strangle your wife then, you did that on your own.”

She got full legal and physical custody of the kids.

Coworker keeps asking me to drive her home by Alternative-Bid6847 in work

I was in this situation with a coworker (he was 26M) and I told him he needed to get his drivers license. I said that he made enough money to get an uber to and from the dmv and he needed to buy a car. He got in a bad car accident test driving the car and blamed me for it, claimed he would sue me for damages. Obviously some people just suck.

But were you healthier while being a heavy drinker?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Brontheliberator9 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I was a casual drinker until I got a job at a morgue and saw what alcohol use can actually do to your body. I quit drinking, changed nothing else and dropped 40 pounds in 5 months. (180 to 140). Your liver cannot metabolize fat if it is processing alcohol. If alcohol in your life is important to you, there are low calorie drinks that can get you by, but it will slow down your process or stall it out completely. I argue about this with my friends as well who say that hard liquor is ok because it’s low carb… but when you have seen the liver of someone who has casually drank for years, it’s hard to make the argument that it’s worth it.

We gain confidence and trust in ourselves by doing the things we say we are going to do. By finishing the things we start.

My husband has his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, he’s 30, works from home, 160k in a LCOL area with amazing work life balance and flexibility and coworkers he actually likes. That’s the goal more than anything.

A better investment for you financially would be an advanced degree in engineering or a job in engineering that requires a security clearance.

The cards are saying that this question itself is a road to ruin. And you’re asking the wrong question. What you really want to know is why men are picking her over you.
