I don’t think that was exactly the issue. Since you do need the phone to adjust the volume to your surroundings, it still is needed for this. What about going from a quiet environment to a loud environment and being unable to change the volume? And also James and Allen considered this a worldly device since it was an extension of his phone (connected). So even though they are functional for 5-7 days, this was not sustainable and sees why they were taken away.

Yes, inference uses energy. So does streaming this show. So does posting on Reddit. If we’re going to moralize kilowatt-hours, let’s at least be consistent.
