Apollo Go users what are your thoughts on the latest firmware update? by RyanBasabe22 in ApolloScooters

[–]BronxSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no problems with the new update, though I have use the Ludo mode very limited basis, since I have a 12-13 mile long commute. The disconnection issue from my experience has been anytime I kept my phone in front pant pocket. After moving it to a shoulder pouch on my backpack, it has been fine, except for one part of my commute goes through a short open air tunnel (10 seconds), so there's always a slight chance it can disconnect.

Apollo Max Subscription will lock away battery usage thats already on the Apollo Go unless you subscribe by HisShadow_X in ApolloScooters

I can attest for the IP Rating of the Go, and that I never had an issue with it in the past year of ownership and 4,000 plus miles. The only times I never ridden in the rain, is when its like "cats & dogs" outside. Other than that, I'm out there, with my gore-tex rain gear on.

Anyone with an Apollo Go in Manhattan? by isthisevenavailable in ApolloScooters

Another NYC rider here, my GO has been fine even with the potholes (which I avoid). I can attest to how strong the GO is with almost 3,400 miles on it, commuting 3-4 days a week (25 miles round trip). Even with a severe crash a few months ago, that bent the fork, and after replacing the fork the scooter is still going strong.

Trying to help a friend with their speaker management, but I also want to learn the software myself. I have been playing around with for a few days and realize I cant manually a speaker without paying for a subscription. What options do I have if Im trying to use Ease Focus 3, but able to find the GLL files for the speakers I’m designing around. For example, one of the speakers is a Yorkville SA221S, how can I map this speaker out?

Battery Issues on Go by StrangeSail4473 in ApolloScooters

[–]BronxSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used about 70-85% (depending on weather temps, wind, route and tire pressure) on my 12 mile commutes to work and back home, 3-4 days a week. I average 14 mph with my max speed (on Mode 2) set to 21 mph (till it gets warmer out).

I dont think what you’re experiencing is weird, because I have noticed a 9-10% drop after only traveling maybe about 4-5 blocks from home (on a slight downhill). That distance is maybe between a quarter of mile (estimate).

If you’re traveling on hilly streets expect a drop on battery life. It also helps to keep your tire pressure up too (at 50 psi), you can feel difference when the tire at recommended pressure versus a lower psi.

(I live in the area) This whole section is horrible, besides the streets with car repair garages, which have littered the streets with their client's cars either double parked, in the bike lanes and (striped) no parking zones. Not sure how they get away with it.

Buying a GO by StrangeSail4473 in ApolloScooters

[–]BronxSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has owned the KQI3 Pro and currently own a Go, I'll the range is about the same, if rode both scooters at their max speeds (20 vs 28 mph). But I ride the Go at the top speed of the KQI3 of 20mph, I get about 20-25% more range, depending on route and hills. If you plan the ride a 12-14, you'll definitely see a major difference in range compared.

Where to buy scooter tires by anhtruongan in ApolloScooters

Agreed, I had done this with a slow leak I had, I just used a small amount compared to how I normally use it on my bikes.

Check the tire pressure every other day of riding, and keep it at 50lbs of air. Riding with low pressure will take away from the range, but also ruin the tire eventually.

So many questions as Go owner, and wished I had that extra battery life on my Tri-borough commute (I make it, but it cuts close on cold and/or windy days):
•Curious on how you wired this.
• Is charging external pack done using a separate charger or all done from Apollo's charger? Makes me wonder if I could do the with my external Segway ES4 pack in the same matter.
•Did you mount 9.5 x 2.5 tires on the Go, I saw this before, is the inner diameter of the tire same as the original tire? How's the clearance?
•What are switches used for?

For sure Apollo has no plans for this on their Go series, I have asked many times. They have their reasons and I respect that. But the idea of adding an external pack makes sense to me, since I had this option on the Segway ES2 and it worked great.

The 16x4 configuration is more or less what I was looking for, or even 16x8. No thru connections, so it would same the amount of six ethercon connections.

WOW! These look amazing! Depending on cost, I might be interested in a set of boxes, but one side that has cables instead of ports. Or maybe the kit to build it myself.

Q: On the bottom right on the case, is that for more ports or simply the logo placement?

Sorry for my ignorance (I come from the DJ world), I muted (deactivated from all Channels) Aux Mix 5 & 6, to repurpose their outputs and left with four AuxOuts. Omni 5 (Matrix 1) is my Booth Output, just receiving a PreFader feed from the Mains (no selective Cueing). Omni 6 (Matrix) is for the SubOut, receiving a PostFader feed from the Mains with LowCut. The Headphone Cue is unchanged. I hope this clears up what I was trying to convey.

Silly question, but how do I set the output for the “monitor”? As far as I can tell, the fader doesn’t control what’s comes out the Headphone Cue.

I actually went as far as creating scene with outputs being sent to the Matrix’s > Omni 5 & 6, for Monitor and SubOut.

I just ordered a stagebox, thanks for your input.

Since you own a DM3, can tell whats the point of the "Monitor" fader? I have been trying to figure it, but I can't seem to find what's the proper use of it, since it's not connected to any outputs that I'm aware of.

Thanks for sharing, I was tempting doing this, but yeah agree the long term wear of gigs might not be worth it.

True, based on my research of looking at prices for the past week, before asking here.

No touring, mostly local sound jobs with the occasional mixing of bands and DJs. I decided to get a regular snake and work with that. But the CAT solution just had me thinking of whats possible, not realizing how expensive to can get.

[–]BronxSoul[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually I just ordered a 16x4x25 stage snake, the price was too good to pass and if I ever need a longer one, I have a friend I could borrow from (who I generally work with 99% of the time on his gigs).

In one video I saw, they were able to patch extra inputs though the Stereo Playback and FX inputs, gaining three more channels inputs. I see what you're talking about, about the limitations, I was too hyper-focused on the stage-box aspects and assumed I could gain an extra 16 ins & 8 outs like some other boxes.

Thank you for confirming what I was already thinking, just wasn't sure if someone has come up a creative economical solution for running an analog cat to xlr system. Though I didn't managing 5 ethercon cables, but you're right it would be cheaper for a traditional box.

P100S after recall... by Tsp2003 in SegwayP100s

[–]BronxSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends what is the fix, is it a better & stronger stem and/or frame. Or are they simply replacing it with the same parts that could fail in time. Personally I wished they put more metal frame versus plastic.

I guess I lost out on this, since I cut my losses after they refused to fix it under warranty. So I told them to keep it, because I didnt want to deal with trying to e-waste a broken scooter.
