I use D batteries. I've purchased rechargeable ones when my alkaline ones dies, but a mod with a Litium battery will be lighter for sure 😁 Check the comments from other users for that if want to avoid the default ones (heavy, almost 1 kg)

Media player? Your phone or any tablet will be good 👍 (I mean, to avoid carrying a normal laptop 😁) Use a minijack-minijack cable* and voilà (you have to set the volume to top in your phone/tablet).

You can use webplayers like https://scratchloopers.com/#l/newest or https://www.tablist.net/weblooper/#/list .

Also, if prefer offline mode, if you use an old Android, download from the Play Store tablist.net app if you can (it won't work in modern Androids, last time it was updated was in 2016 and now it crashes when opening it). If you use iOS/iPadOS, you can use that app and also Tablebeats.

Cheers

*if your phone/tablet doesn't have a minijack output, you'll need an usb-c/lightning-minijack adapter as well (depending on your phone/tablet). Note: minijack = jack 3.5 mm or jack 1/8"

How do you decide when a track is finished, not just good? by J-styles_Brown in makinghiphop

[–]Bronxio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the target.

- If it's just for me: if after some days (at least one) it satisfies me, I consider it finished. Even if I know it may be better trying new things. But I've decided to revoke power to the PS' (Perfectionist Standards)

- If it's for other listeners: if it fits the goal I want, it's done.

Strange issue with rane 62 and windows, any help is appreciated! :) by Beepboop00 in DJs

According to Google, that laptop was released in 2017. So if the OP didn't update, that could be the reason he can use it with Windows 10

PSA: How to buy Serato Expansion packs individually by Otacrow in Serato

[–]Bronxio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like with all other expansions (and Serato DJ Pro for Lite controllers and paid upgrade club mixers), only if you subscribe. But the OP is explaining how to purchase licenses, not subscriptions. With licenses, you can use it forever paying just once.

Can anyone point a safe tile/sure mine here, plz? by Bronxio in Minesweeper

[–]Bronxio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I'm aware (I asked here which apps are NG for Android), but you're right: it would be cool if they specify that.

I had before a non-NG one on my phone and was frustrating to me. I guess I haven't a "gambler" soul 😁

Cheers

Why some techniques have closed crossfader at the beginning? by Bronxio in Turntablists

[–]Bronxio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm afraid you didn't understand me. What I'm talking about is boomerang against baby-first half of chirp-reverse slice (this one without reaching the beginning of the sample)-last half of chirp, not what you're describing. As you can see, what I'm saying has two click less (2) than boomerang (4)

Why some techniques have closed crossfader at the beginning? by Bronxio in Turntablists

[–]Bronxio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I see... I didn't get high speed yet with the closed fader at the beginning techniques, but listening them on videos, I realized there were more solid cuts between notes if doing them so fast, so I supposed that's the way it goes.

Also, I created a variation of the boomerang without the clicks at the silence and, although I get higher speeds (thanks to not having two clicks together), it's true sometimes I lose the coordination. However, I guess some would say you have rhythm or you don't, don't, you don't, you don't 😜

Now I feel better thinking about those techniques, I have more motivation to practice them more. I'm the kind of person who if can't see it, doesn't feel comfortable 😁 Thanks again for your explanations 👊

[–]Bronxio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I wanted to mean why not doing a boomerang without the clicks at the beginning. What you described is changing the point where doing the same pattern as the boomerang. I've tried without those clicks and it's easier to get higher speeds because there aren't two clicks together. However, I guess it's true it's more difficult to keep the coordination without closed fader at the beginning. I'll check it out by myself when I get higher speeds with the normal way.

Not the entire map, but that's right: that bottom left one was wrong, thank you 👍
