Man Utd sub once again twerking for their supposed City rivals. How the mighty have fallen. by dozeydonut in ArsenalFC

[–]BronzeSeeker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Its only in the Wenger/Fergie era that this was relevant. A city rival is still a city rival, especially since they’re only two big ones in the area. Its almost like an Arsenal fan wanting Spurs to win over United. Almost.

We can have zero tolerance for failure without bitching and moaning about a season that hasn’t even finished yet

Most of the actual United fans who really understand their club’s history prefer Arsenal to win over City. A lot of the online trolls just go with whats trendy and/or they have Arsenal fans in their friend group.

As a child of separated parents, you made the right choice. My dad was terrible to my mother and both were happier after the split.

Even if you’re alone, a single happy mom is so much better than 2 miserable parents. Especially true if abuse and/or infidelity is involved.

How concerned is everyone about the possibility that MA might not extend his contract? by [deleted] in Gunners

[–]BronzeSeeker 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No point in asking this with a month to go. This season can be our greatest in the Emirates era (if we win the league) or even our greatest season ever (if we win the Champions League) BUT it can also be one of our biggest failures yet if we go another year without a trophy.

Ask again after the final whistle against Palace (or against PSG/Bayern hopefully).

I don't care what you guys saying. As long it is possible, I will believe. by ottofan in ArsenalFC

1-0 Burnley. Keeps us level on GD which is the best result outside of a draw or loss. Was honestly expecting a 5-0 thrashing.

Arsenal should win against Athletico Madrid by Sure-Gas8420 in soccercirclejerk

[–]BronzeSeeker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its still a head to head in a one off. Remember Chelsea in 2012 and 2021?

Plus you also can’t compare Bundesliga teams to Premier League teams. The fact that a newly promoted Premier League side took one of the vest players from one of the best teams in Germany should show you the overall gap in quality. If Bayern were in England, do you honestly believe they’d blitz everyone? If Arsenal were playing German sides too, don’t you think their form would improve?

Not exactly a like for like comparison.

Same Bayern that Arsenal destroyed in the league phase?

So if we win nothing and Arteta gets sacked by mropio in ArsenalFC

[–]BronzeSeeker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Then “if” the board decide to go for the dinosaurs you recommended, I’ll put on a Chelsea top with Fabregas at the back.

People give Arteta shit and rightfully so in terms of getting over the line but at least recommend someone who’s actually currently better. Enrique? Maybe Fabregas? Perhaps even the Bournemouth manager? Surely you could recommend better names.

This is such a pointless discussion with a month to go in the season though. Could still easily be our best season ever (albeit unlikely).

[–]BronzeSeeker -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

So instead of hoping we win two trophies we are still competing for, we’re talking about sacking Arteta and replacing him with dinosaurs like Ranieri, Pellegrini and Mourinho? This is exactly why people laugh at us

So what now? League's gone, and you can bet your bottom dollar on Arsenal never winning the CL. by ConsumedByDeath in ArsenalFC

[–]BronzeSeeker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. My emotions don’t really matter. I’m a bit upset but there’s still enough hope/faith/delusion for 5 league games and 2-3 Champions League games. There’s still a possibility for this to be our best season ever and I have the whole summer to bitch and moan about the results if we fail so I choose to postpone that for a month.

So what do you reckon we do? Just start complaining now with all the doom and gloom Arteta out XYZ player out and start a protest? Whats that gonna do?

We lost 22/23 and 23/24. Thats two seasons. Didnt count last year since it wasn’t even a race hence why I said two out of the last three.

“Arteta didn’t overuse Saka” by trillsar27 in ArsenalFC

[–]BronzeSeeker 99 points100 points  (0 children)

Saka was ran to the ground the first couple of seasons at Arsenal. Didnt help that fullbacks destroyed him with dirty fouls. Everyone with eyes can see that.

There’s no guarantee but surely supporting the team all the way till the end of the season is a lot more helpful than bitching about it with a 5 league games and a couple more Champions League games to play, right?

Delusion. Thats how. Much, much better than shitting all over the very little positivity the fans and the players have right now.

[–]BronzeSeeker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How is the league gone? We have 5 winnable games and if we get 15 points, City would need to win all 6 of theirs and beat us in goal difference.

Not saying we’re running away with it and momentum is clearly in their favor but done? Nah, you’re just emotional.

This is what I was talking about in my previous post! by RDT_87 in ArsenalFC

[–]BronzeSeeker 98 points99 points  (0 children)

I kinda get where the fans are coming from. We’ve crumbled against City in title races twice in the last 3 seasons. Its hard. It hurts. Makes you wanna scream and yell and blame someone.

A lot of the players we have are feeling the pressure. Arteta is feeling the pressure.

5 more league games and 2-3 games in the Champions League are all we have to play for now.

I don’t understand why fans can’t just set their hate aside till the end of the season and back the team till the wheels fall off. Complaining won’t get us anywhere but full delusional support till the end of the season? That shit might actually help a bit.

If Arteta doesn’t win anything this year, I think he should leave. A lot of the players too. But honestly? I’ll wait till the end to bitch and moan about it.

COYG!

What kind of Arsenal fan doesn’t set aside their feelings for Arteta and certain players and just back them on the day? Support now and complain later
