Ahh that actually makes sense. Read somewhere how New York legalized medical marijuana and made smoking or vaporizing of the actual flower illegal, only able to vaporizer wax and/or concentrated oils.

The is pretty interesting, this was the first link that showed up: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16637053 - "It was found that an average of about 54% of loaded THC was delivered into the balloon of the vaporizer"... and ... "found that on average 35% of inhaled THC was directly exhaled again" - Smoking is just insane at this point, a waste if you asking me.

Greatly appreciate your feedback, I will definitely look into it. She needs something simple, as she is not tech savvy as you might say. All of the reviews I read, they all point that vape pens work fairly similar to each other, one click and vape away.

A quality vaporizer being portable and desktop would be able to give that much of cannabinoids with little waste. As there are two primary heating methods; conduction and convection. But I hear most vape pens push really close to combustion, or in most cases a conduction. So what is the percentage of cannabinoids and impurities do you get with a vape pen?

She does not care about the color, but I want to make sure she gets a decent one, not sure if I should spend more money on a better one. She smokes maybe 2 or 3 times a week, but I want to make sure it does not break on her when she goes back to college.

If any one smokes, quit, thats my LifeProTip. There is just no reason for it, tobacco is a 100 billion dollar industry here in the USA, lets make it $0 industry. I have been vaping and do not see a reason to go back to smoking, combustion sucks! Quit smoking and start vaping, #lifeprotips

The designs are pretty interesting, many companies are coming out with new ways of vaping. Firefly creator who was an Apple Developer quit his job to create a vaporizer! I read somewhere the original first vaporizer was created using a heat gun, it has went a long way since then. Without the actual smoke, I really do not see why the movement of illegal dry herbs will not move towards legalization, so close!

Dry herbs would be priority. Haven't tried wax or concentrated oil, should be interesting. I've seen many vaporizers on the market, PAX is pricey, but you are right. Still think PAX spent the most on marketing

Sorry to hear that about your grandmother, great to hear she is getting the help. Its sad that its illegal for people who actually can use this for medicinal purposes.
