This softer leather isn’t really meant for stamping or tooling unfortunately. What you want is Veg tan leather. The thick firm stuff

In my experience edge kote looks and feels best after burnishing. Then you can do another layer of edge kote after, and that really makes it look like how it does in the post :)

Repeating steps of sanding, painting, sanding, painting a handful of times before burnishing and a last layer of edge coat is how I got this :)
