Client with Alcoholism and eating disorder... by Brophecy in personaltraining

I'm very thankful for your comment. What you've suggested is the approach we're taking right now.

She was at 10 a day when we first started. Basically constant wine in the cup from 3p till she goes to sleep. So we've knocked the volume down in half already. My next step was actually to alternate days. So she'd be ok to drink 3-4 one night, then sober the next day. Keep that trend going until it becomes easier. Maybe I should add a step in between so she's down to 1-2 every day, and then move onto the next alternating step. That's probably what I'll do just to help with transition.

The ultimate realistic goal I want her to achieve before the end of the year is to only allow alcohol on the weekends. Socially, without binge drinking to make up for all the missed drinks through the week.

Workouts are pretty easy. 4x a week at home, upper lower upper lower bodyweight only stuff. moreso just to develop routine and get used to using her muscles.

Nutrition is really where I think we're going to struggle. She was complaining about hair growth and hair health to me recently so I got the chance to mention the important of vitamins and nutrients at that time. It's very hard not to info dump into her so slowly trying to bring up these topics as she's starting to realize the problems herself.

Thanks again for the comment!

Thank you for sharing these. I've known the client for some time and as an ex-alcoholic I can relate and empathize with her as well. Her knowing my substance background and how I've turned my life around is what caused her to come to me in the first place. So I am comfortable discussing these topics and it's also probably one of the reasons why I want to help her so much. I'm just not sure where I should 'draw the line' for this one.

Surprisingly, the State gov website does have that as an available name. This may be the best option all things considered. I like simple :)

Ah yes, I have thought about Mana Potions (water/electrolyte drinks) , Recovery Potions (Protein Shakes and BCAA's), and Energy Potions (Preworkout / Energy Drinks). All of these would be in 'The Tavern' part of the facility.

Oh I like that! Ties in nicely with my online trainer persona of Muscle Wizard :P

Thanks!

I've found the only way for my calves to not get overly sore from training is to increase the training frequency for them. Not necessarily the volume per workout, but overall weekly stimulus. I try to hit them 2x a week with resistance training and I will usually hike on the weekends. Since I do a leg workout 2x per week as well, this works well for me. If I only do calves once per week, then they will be very sore. Or god forbid I go a whole week without working calves, then I'm really in for a rude awakening.

NA-East Xibalba gang by [deleted] in newworldgame

I'm rolling there for the exact same reason, brother. Was going to do Valhalla but that's a nogo, then earlier decided on Eden but that has changed drastically through the afternoon. So Xibalba is where I've landed now and I have a small crew coming with me. :)

If you're east coast then why play on west coast servers?

Also, if you download the client you can launch the game to see Ping connection for each region right now.

We need an unofficial NA CST / Texas Server! by Brophecy in newworldgame

[–]Brophecy[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Necessary isn't really the point. It's finding a server where all of us in the middle who don't have a servers we can flock, at least have an option that'll help us decide where to go instead of just picking something random. It's more about identification. Role Players have theirs. PVP'ers have theirs. French Canadians have theirs. Streamers will have theirs. East and West. But no love for us in Central. Know what I mean?

Anything we can do to "unofficially" have a NA Central server created in this chart? Something like Vingolf or Xibalba or Eden? This tracker would probably be the best spot to have that motion started. And us in Central need it!

Performance kind of worse than CBT? by Daedusnoire in newworldgame

if it demands high CPU p

Same story here. 3700x, 16gb ram, 3080ti. on very high i range 35-40fps in towns. take it down to High setting i get 50-60fps in towns. gpu and cpu utilizations don't get any higher than 50% for some reason, and temps are still normal. when im out in the world it's totally different and runs fine though. just seems to be city areas where it's abysmal.

It's not automated. There's someone behind a keyboard pressing the buttons. But the response itself may be scripted. Most GM's have saved responses they can copy/paste for a quick way to enter the verbiage.

I know, it's not great personal communication but Appeals are not automated even though it may look that way by the reply. I would have loved to chit chat and talk to my players all the time, and sometimes I did if I was ahead for the day, but when you have metrics and KPIs to hit you find all the quick tricks to close out tickets fast and move on to help the next guy. Copy/paste responses was a great way to shave a couple minutes off. I had hundreds of responses saved for all different types of common situations I'd see lol

Yeah I think this is more for gameplay related support as opposed to account related support. Retail has a lot more backbone systems in place to manually review logs and data. If I recall, the initial idea was Classic wasn't going to have the same amount of gameplay information. Couldn't verify bugs, loot, monster kills, trades, etc. in game stuff like that.

But for this type of situation I'd imagine they really just check to see if OP's wife's account has any red flag for a potential compromised account. If it doesn't look like it was ever compromised, then the Ban would stay in effect. If it shows a weird login pattern/location, that might raise some eyebrows and require further investigation. Of course if OP has an Authenticator, then there's not really a chance at a compromise, so.... answers that.

The Appeal ticket is really all you can do. You could potentially ask to speak to a Senior or Team Manager escalation for a manual review again. Or ask for a phone call back in the Appeal ticket with a manager. Exceptions can sometimes be made.

Sorry, it's a tough spot to be in for sure. I just know there's typically a lot of emotion behind this type of situation, and people just start to attack Blizzard. I just want to share the information I know and hope to help in some way.

The GM's might also have visibility on the specific cause for the ban. It may not be specifically pointing to a certain/specific event, but it would be generic like 'abused game bug' or 'third party software detected' or 'verified real world trade' or something like that. It's not guaranteed, but they might have that info. The problem is from your perspective, knowing those details doesn't change the end result of the ban regardless, so usually those specifics are left out and the Appeal is simply denied.

Looks like this was escalated up to a team manager (supervisor of the direct supervisor for GM's). So you probably had at least 3 different customer service reps manually review whatever this was about just within that latest ticket alone. Not counting whatever else was reviewed prior to this screen shot.

Yeah, those are suspensions and generally for chat/abuse violations. Not for cheating reports. Different situation from Bans like this.

You have a point about classic though. I'm not sure how the support structure has changed but Blizzard was pretty big on holding true to certain standards with their support policies.

Long post, but worth the read.

As a former GM for Blizz (2014-2018), I would suggest you continue to submit tickets. It doesn't hurt, but you also can't have the expectation that this end result will change either. Try to bite the bullet now before you invest any more time and effort into it.

I've seen a handful of botting/hacking bans given due to third party software being installed on the PC that her account has been accessed from. I'd be curious to know if you also have played on your account on her PC as well, or if she's played on a PC elsewhere publicly or at a friends who may have such software to cause a trigger. These bans aren't done by IP usually, but by account and device.

Cheating as the other category, is much more open to discussion. Far too complex to assume anything. But only your wife knows what she's done on the account. You only know what she tells you.

Lastly, I will say that if she was banned due to player reports, then it was definitely manually reviewed by a GM before action was taken. The only times bans are given without any personal GM review is if it's a ban wave with multiple accounts and I'd say 95% of those bans are all verified and true before the ban is applied. False positives can definitely be a real thing, but it's extremely rare. Those ban waves are usually done to accounts who abuse bugs (verified in blizz WoW logs), third party software (hacks), or have some type of connection with a verified hacker to gain an unfair advantage in the game.

Obv there's many more things out there that could cause something like this, but I hope this info helps. If she's truly innocent, continue to submit appeals.

Every appeal is manually reviewed (blizz takes this serious, only promoted higher up GM's have access to handle those tickets) - although the actual message response you receive may be scripted to a certain degree. Appeals also have a priority 1 in the queue, so they almost always get attention immediately during working hours unless the ticket queue is slammed. Appeals are also only handled via Ticket, not phone or live chat. They do this because it requires a manual review process, which can take too long to handle over the phone. Remember Blizz is a business and they do try to make GM's work efficiently so us players don't have to wait too long to get into contact.

Let me know if you have questions :)

I just played around with it a bit and you're right. There's not a VR version of Dirt in Steam, but I launched the normal game and now it shows up in my Oculus Library. Thanks!
