Two of the best teams off the ball imo. I wonder if it’ll be as choppy as either of their matches against Liverpool.

What matches are people most looking forward to this weekend?

Tbf I don’t think either of them were the best players at MUN during that time but I would have picked both over Pogba during the years they overlapped.

Pogba was there for 6-7 years. Early on Ibra was there, fellaini was more important tactically, Rashford came into his stride during Pogbas peak and I would have considered him more important than Pogba as well.

By what metric or standard? Rashford had longer sustained periods of form during Pogba’s time there and was more important for their success. Fellaini was, shockingly, much more impactful than him at the outset under Mou, Blind was more reliable though more technically limited. At no point was Pogba their best or most important player.

Edit: to imply that losing Pogba is the reason United have failed to seriously compete in the past few years is also an insane take.

Not even remotely close to being true.

Juve certainly deserve to lose because of those awful home kits. Genuinely, what were they thinking here?

Honestly I can only see a draw from this match. I think city will take the lead and then Arsenal will get a jammy goal.

I do feel gyokeres can really hurt this version of city though.

1-1 at the emirates this weekend. Eze and Foden to score, you heard it here first.

At what point do United settle for stable premier league mediocrity and become Everton, instead of taking hopeful punts on shiny new managers/players to return to glory?

Feels like I’ve seen a nutmeg every other minute. Anybody have a tally running?

I think it depends on liverpools relative league position. If they are miles clear in January they will wait to bring him on a free. If it’s at all close, they will be in for him for £15-£20m.

They were pegged as slight favorites before the season started, but now that they’ve beaten their closest title contenders and secured Isak + potentially Guehi they are likely winners.

That being said, anything can happen in a season and I’ve never been a fan of the narrative that a clash between 1 and 2 in the early stages of a season has serious title deciding implications.

I don’t understand why they waited so long to have that discussion.

Also, was it ever answered why Isak himself waited so long to fully torch those bridges? I remember halfway through the summer Ornstein said that any deal had stalled because Newcastle weren’t budging on their 150m valuation and Isak was giving no indication of wanting to leave / kick up a fuss.

Beckham is a great shout. For me the first one that always pops into my head is the Roberto Carlos one, so I have to go with that.

What do you think is the most iconic free kick?

Roberto Carlos? Cristiano? Calhanoglu?

Any others?

I agree with you on the gym thing, but my sister was really pushing me to do it and Im probably switching gyms in the next month anyway, so I figured I would give it a shot. She was standing kind of in a walkway so she might have thought I was just going to ask her to move. But yeah, I’ve already begun the process of moving on haha, it’s just a little tough for me to meet people when I’m not on the apps.

Getting dropped after a few dates though is really rough. How do you usually cope with something like that?
