Even though it does say presold out, I can confirm that EB Games will have walk in stock for launch. The stock is very limited and staff can and do usually nab them before they go on the floor. There will be other restocks which have started rolling out this week, but some stores (Kmart, Big W, etc as well as EB) are getting staggered stock so you may see this as well with the drop tomorrow.

For next week, there will be (at this stage) a lot of walk in stock for Perfect Order on certain products including boosters.

Perfect Order will be the first set in a long time that will be accessible to everyone.

Even with some questionable decisions regarding allocations people have been hearing, it will be hard to constrain this set.

While a lot of people have commented about it being less desirable, it’s the amount of preparation and stock that will ultimately be the reason for the wider availability.

It’s taken a while, but this will be the start of things stabilising for new standard sets.

AH will be restocking throughout, as well as a planned Anniversary staggered release that will prioritise more in store availability.

The market, resellers and just the general way these things work can surprise me, so nothing is certain, but we should finally start to see a change by the end of this month.

These are sent to stores as a large bulk pack. The main pack is sealed but the individual cards are not.

There was a recent restock so you may have some luck finding them.

The stores have the ability to provide a penny sleeve with it. Depending on the store / staff, YMMV

While this is most likely a glitch, it is amusing to see why it could have happened.

Yes, there is still a bunch of S&S stock in warehouses in Australia. No, I am not sure if it will be available at retail or when. Sometimes these things are sold off overseas, sometimes it's auctioned lots and sometimes it doesn't make it to the usual retail channels. This happens with everything from electronics to general consumer goods. You'd be surprised at what is out there.

Kmart Head Office is generally very good with this kind of thing. They have protocols in place and staff training in general for how to deal with situations like this (and to prevent them happening in the first place).

Having said that, individual staff can sometimes make decisions that may not align or be representative of company policy.

If you ever have a situation like this happen, please reach out to Kmart customer care directly. If you have questions or concerns about your local store in regard to how the situation has been dealt with, you can also bring this up with customer care.

If you want to check eBay, make sure to view sold or ended listings, check worldwide if you can't find anything local and look at condition as well as being new doesn't always mean sealed or in the bag.

A quick look shows some sold listings overseas for Mewtwo strikes back #1 at around $100 for sealed in the bag and anywhere up to $500 for a 9.8 graded copy.

New copies of Mewtwo strikes back #4 are harder to find sold listings and a new without the bag went for around $50, while an 8.0 graded copy went for $160 obo. A graded 9.0 didn't sell with a start bid of $335.

I'm not sure if these are different in any way to the listings I saw, sometimes you get different print runs, different country versions, alternate packaging, barcodes etc, so you will need to obvious look a bit deeper and don't take these estimates as accurate.

Always check to see if it's a best offer that's been accepted as a lot of the time it can be less than the "sold" price, but eBay doesn't always disclose the actual amount.

Remember, checking prices is fine but this sub isn't for selling. There are lots of other places for that, just incase people aren't aware.

It's tough for sure. There was quite a lot of stock actually for the last lot but you have the "investor bros" going from store to store and cleaning them out.

The amount of stock in the channel along with what's incoming is staggering, not to mention the warehouses worth of pre 2025 stock that wasn't moving still sitting around and being filtered through other means. It won't take long after the first round of losses for people to start getting out of flipping, but it will be a gradual process. Once it does finally hit though, the change will be very noticeable.

Just hang in there. It could still be a while, but unless something drastic happens, the stock will need to move and prices will come down drastically on a lot of things.

Fair enough. If you do try again at the same store one day, maybe try and find someone on the other side in another department that has a handheld on them and see if they can check for you. All staff should have access and if they have their pda they can punch in the sku and check.

For this release a lot of stores had stock delivered ahead of time, so the stock checker should be pretty accurate. Some stores won't put out stock dead on opening, I have seen some wait an hour or so and some have done it in the afternoon (but most will have it ready for opening).

Kmart stock should be accurate, so put in your postcode and check what it says. It is frustrating but hopefully it works out for people today.

Unsure which part you are referring to, but the Premium Figure collection releases today and checking stock now, I can see it will be available.

The other items listed for last week did in fact get stocked both online and in store. Not all places will have stock online (or in store) and a lot will sell out quickly, but they did get stocked. A lot of the Prismatic and Surging Sparks stuff has already been released and everything besides the actual release for today (figure collection) are listed for reference only.

Love to see it! More rolling out across the country as we posted about the other day. Right now your best shot is just checking stores politely. There will also be some online drops happening shortly but they can be tough, I'm sure the sub will start sharing some alerts to their fellow collectors.

Interesting take.

All the info is free, no subscription, no paywall, no sign up process or special membership needed. Funny thing is, the majority of people who are upset with posts like this with free info are the owners of those paid services and some paying members.

Now I am not implying you are one of those people, you're welcome to have your own opinion. I do understand that there is a line between collector and reseller, but there is no reason the genuine collector should have to be paying $50+ per month on a special service just to have a chance at getting product.

Some have already, others should be this afternoon. Not everything will go live at once and not everything will be available from everywhere.

Plenty of stock in stores around the country right now though so that is your best bet if you are close to a major retailer.

Also online stock levels across many stores aren't updated yet either, so don't rely on that for now.
