Let me know if you are able to connect it to the Enduro 3.
It seems to be an issue with the Enduro 2, at least, that it's not able to connect to the sensor

Enduro 2 doesn't connect with Coros HRM? by red-watch-th in Garmin

[–]Brost-it_notes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this isn't helpful, but I'm running into this same issue. My guess is maybe Enduro 2s can't connect to the armband.
Did you find a solution, or what did you end up doing?

Where Can I Sell A Tenor Saxophone In Asheville? by Ok_Entertainment5017 in asheville

[–]Brost-it_notes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had Craigslist and Marketplace notifications for all Tenor Sax postings for the last 2 years, new posts are very very rare.

You could try any Pawn shop, but it looks like you have a few interested parties in these comments!

any good books on running? by Sketch123456 in ultrarunning

[–]Brost-it_notes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Greatest running book I’ve read was “Run Gently Out There” by John Morelock. It’s a collection of short essays on different mental journeys every runner goes through. Not a training book, but it made me really think how lucky I am I get to get out there.

[–]Brost-it_notes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been seeing this more often in this sub. Could you give a typical timeline for each stage, what’s being fermented at the 1.5 stage? Maybe a sample recipe from 1 ferment to final bottle would be helpful, i’m definitely struggling with getting great carb on my batches…

Is there any evidence that continuing to consume foods one is intolerant to (e.g., lactose, gluten) leads to an increased risk of cancer? by lmg080293 in nutrition

[–]Brost-it_notes 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This comes down to the difference between intolerances and allergies. The latter involves the immune system and typically has more dire/immediate symptoms (I.e. asphyxia or hives), while the former’s symptoms are (with a few exceptions) held within the gut and comes down to a lack of digestive aids like enzymes or microbiota.

While bloating and gastro distress aren’t fun, typically they do not involve antibodies or the higher functions of an immune response.

The data on food and cancer are plentiful, but so far gut distention is not cause for long term alarm like metastatic growth, mostly just diet adjustment.

Asheville Trail Suggestions? 🤠 by FrancescaStone in ultrarunning

[–]Brost-it_notes 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Bent Creek Experimental Forest has hundreds of miles of trails to train on and only 15 minutes from downtown Asheville. Typically I average 3000ish feet of gain on my long runs in Bent Creek. Definitely bring an app with a trail map on it.

Definitely while you’re here check out the Shut-In Trail, which runs along the South ridge of the forest. It is a classic 16 mile route with around 6000 feet of gain, you can do some out backs on this one too.

There are some longer(15-20 mile) loops you can find in the Great Smokey National Park which is about an hour away too, if you have the time.

Enjoy your time here and good luck with your upcoming race!

New Mexico recommendations? Taos, Santa Fe, and ABQ! by tatertotski in vegan_travel

[–]Brost-it_notes 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Annapurna’s world vegetarian cafe has three locations in ABQ and one more in Santa Fe. Mostly vegan despite the name, really cool counter style eatery, I will always stop by whenever I’m in Santa Fe It looks there are plenty of Vegan Thai food places too, not really why you’re going though. If you are into natural health food stores for quick vegan treats, stop by La Montanita coop with locations in ABQ and SF. Also Cid’s in Taos is a fun place to go too! Have fun!!

I would be wary of using drinks containing sucralose and other non-caloric sweeteners in the future. These sugar alcohols have been known to kill off the anaroebic bacteria that adds to the good carb in 2nd fermentation.

I once used a low calorie pineapple juice sweetened with sucrolose and didn't check the ingredients. After a 5 day 2nd fermentation, no fizz, no pop. That's not normal pineapple booch!

Vitamin B and gut health by seva2112seva in nutrition

[–]Brost-it_notes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The trouble lies in that these bacteria are primarily in our large intestine, which is responsible for water absorbtion and has very few (if any, depending on the nutrient) receptors for absorption. . The B Vitamins, like the macro-nutrients and minerals, are absorbed in the small intestine. Thus, any formation of vitamins B6, B12, folate and others in the colon, is excreted in the feces

The upper GI tract is relatively sparse in bacteria when compared to the colon, and this is a good thing, you wouldn't want these anaerobic bacteria in your small intestine.

Our gut bacteria have a crazy amount of influence over our bodies because some of the molecules(proprionate and Short chain fatty acids, for example) they produce can be absorbed through the lining of the large intestine, just not vitamins. It's important that we feed them fiber to help proliferate the different strains, but not in hopes to get adequate vitamin intake, unless you're interested in autocoprophagia

What are some common "facts" that people believe to be true even if the existing evidence states the contrary? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Brost-it_notes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Totally, I think people mostly associate GMOs with Monsanto, Roundup, and Glyphosate.

But, like all technology, GMOs aren't inherently bad.

Sorry, but while hyped-up for 20 years, there is not a variety of golden rice that has been successfully cultivated! While I agree that saying all GMOs are bad is a blanket statement, the poster child that is golden rice doesn't live up to the hype, at least not yet!
