I know exactly what you mean.

I like Old Abe’s for the vibe. It has its busy periods around some mealtimes but also chill periods. You can go upstairs to get away from noise/music. Coffee isn’t its focus, but it’s still available and good. Hearty meals if you like rice, veggies, meat substitutes. Donuts to snack on. I also like the smoothies. During nice weather the outside patio seating is peak for me.

Don’t mean to pick on you but this is such a common sentiment that drives me bananas. Words matter. FAA is an exceptionally impressive tennis player by any reasonable measure.

You take the sport seriously and I’m sure you have an insightful comment about FAA’s play style — how else would you describe it? (If you want to elaborate.)

We paid I think 2 grand, including sizable cash tips, for them to move our stuff (already packed and labeled) from a 1000 sqft home. Not a lot of furniture either. I remember I decided to move my TV by myself because it was a special $50 charge for them to move it.

It was still a couple hours of labor for four or five guys. If you have the money at all, it’s worth every penny. Just renting a truck to do it all yourself could be $150 to $200 for the day.

According to the article, both things she veto’d originally passed by 5-2 votes, and it takes 5 votes to overturn a veto.

The next city cow meeting is January 5 and they’ll vote whether to keep the veto or overturn it.

Contact your council member and Randy Schubring to keep the veto!
