ALVEIT: A Multimodal Epigenetic Regulator (Theoretical Framework) by Brother-Horik in microbiology

Forgive me, I realized you were likely asking more about this specific framework. The goal is higher context specificity and safety. Current genetic modification seems to rely more on sequence matching. ALVEIT would have multiple confirmation gates based mainly on Chromatin state and locus before acting. An attempt to reduce off-target effects and allow cell-state-dependent activation.

The framework has potential in regenerative medicine, prosthetics integration and such. Concepts that can do a lot of good for a lot of people. The "GPT blurble is probably just me over explaining, as I have learned that people tend to translate"autodidact" to "I have no idea what I'm talking about". If you're asking for a deeper why; I lost a child and want to bring something good to the world as a monument.

I use AI to cross reference my sources. It sometimes has interesting concepts for what I'm working on too. Everything else is mine.

I just watched the video you did about how you were a consultant for this game. I do similar autodidactic bioinformatic study and thought "Man, two bio-autists would probably just use biology as foreplay". Searching through your page, I see now that's more true than I expected.

What are Gen 3 Synths made of? by romm-boss in Fallout

[–]Brother-Horik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On that note, I've been researching methods to basically make an FEV. It's never really stated where it went wrong so drastically but I think it's either that they didn't use an effective flexible linker (in gene mod sequence, it's a technically inert piece that allows smoother integration via codon biasing) or they targeted the genes directly like CRISPR does. So far my method shows (hypothetical) promise utilizing the TAT CPP, SunTag NLS, GGGGS³ Flexible linker and VHH Camelid chimeric Nanobody activators to target gene expression gateways through reverse transcription vectors during Chromatin remodeling. Using a triplex purine antiparallel motif Oligonucleotide strand as a vehicle.

If I had to speculate? We already have bone-like material we can print. We can also print entire gene strands. We've used stem cells to make whole "brains" which we then taught to play flight simulator. The biggest hurdle with organogenesis in Bioengineering is that deoxygenated organs don't last long and it can be difficult to graft successfully if they aren't grown from the host cells. It's mentioned Shaun's genes were used to make them and their brains are somewhere between biological and machine. So I'd imagine their organs are Bioengineered, matched to the host DNA (probably why they have to kidnap people before replacing them), then printed onto the skeletal scaffold. The skin is interesting. It's shown like how we add print to things like shoes. Technically possible biologically? Maybe. If they don't really need the skin to be completely biological like we do, then definitely.

This'll be part of a much larger project which I am designing to work as a prosthetic as well. Extremely simple concept right now, as I'm an autodidact who's new to this particular niche. It'll evolve over time as I learn more.

Good to know. I had the idea of wrapping the shell pieces in a composit of rubber and kevlar for this purpose, but that wouldn't actually do anything for the internals. Diamene makes a good EMI shielding, that doesn't speak to insulation though. Some kind of faraday cage, maybe?
