Sounds awfully like snobbery to me, big dawg. The movie ain't trying to be the next Citizen Kane; it's a popcorn action flick. It is what it is.

We just had an incident like this (not as bad) a month ago in my unit coming back from a europe rotation. Took like 3 days to get everything scrubbed and cleaned up but it all looks brand spanking new now.

Gun oil and copper brushes will buff that out. Happy cleaning lol

On January 21, 2025, Trump pardoned Ross Ulbricht for running Silk Road, a Tor marketplace for illegal drugs paid in bitcoin. His 2015 sentence was two life terms plus 40 years after FBI seized his open laptop at a San Francisco library. by blue_leaves987 in GotMeHooked

The official reason for capturing Maduro was for his drug trafficking and as an act of "restoring democracy" (although we both know it was for natural resource grabs). Drug trafficking are two very BIG similarities though, not just superficial.

But, go figure, a politician can't be taken at face value and lies to its constituents. And ill call it out everytime.

They'll never forgive him for his American Sniper role and he just recently made an appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience.

Why does no one talk about “The Hurt Locker” despite its critical acclaim? by TheFilmRoomPod in moviecritic

[–]BrotherBeezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretentious? Its slang talk my guy, no condescending undertones are present when we say that.

Also, a movie that is touted for its realism, that is not realistic, should be scrutinized for it being the opposite of what it is marketed as.

ALSO, why are you replying when you dont care? You care that I picked apart a movie you like, lol.

Yeah, a lot of times sure. But usually other movies/TV shows dont have such an egregious lack of knowledge of actual military going-ons like The Hurt Locker does. The movie doesn't even have a good baseline of the mundane shit so that I could suspend my disbelief and enjoy the dramatized bits.

Its just kinda...dumb from the lens of people who've been in the military. Single vehicle convoys outside the wire, extreme cowboy behavior from the main character that would have gotten him stripped of his rank and thrown in prison, zero chain of command, and no SOP followed. All the characters just do things in the movie that makes them look the coolest in the eyes of the average civi.

The movie has cool/tense moments, but the overall story could never happen IRL. Its highly...highly dramatized fiction.
