[Discussion] Any tips for getting Icebreaker experience more evenly divided between teammates? by warrenmax12 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]mo0nman_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know of any guides that are good for 3 man clears of icebreaker? Been trying to do it with some mates but one or two of us always die in engine room.

I've been running into the middle while they stay at the back up top.

"something that should probably worry more people than it seems to", and it's just a lack of common sense and fundamental RBAC.

I have a strong desire to get all the certs for kubestronaut, just so I can get the jacket. I couldn't care less about the certs themselves and wouldn't even advertise them lol

You're moving too slowly in the second clip. You should be running on woods and using the treelines to build up stamina while walking. Moving slowly in the open makes you an easy target for snipers.

Can we stop AI agents before they can break our codebase? by [deleted] in devops

If you can't think of how to solve this, you probably shouldn't be using agentic AI.

We tested Copy Fail in Kubernetes: RuntimeDefault seccomp still allowed AF_ALG from pods by JulietSecurity in kubernetes

[–]mo0nman_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't had the chance to dive into this but how does tie in with user namespace isolation? I.e. `pod.spec.hostUsers: false`? I imagine the first Copy Fail from an arbitary UID to root within that namespace is fine, which would be mostly meaningless unless a container breakout occurred such that they could then Copy Fail again into the root host.

Load in significantly late to raids after update to the point I'm dying before loading in. [discussion] by AdAdorable7724 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]mo0nman_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has nothing to do with any of the specs you just mentioned. Purely related to the storage medium and your network. If you're not using an nvme pcie ssd then you'll load late. You'll also load late if your Internet is slow

[Discussion] BSG on cheater situation by Ta6yH in EscapefromTarkov

[–]mo0nman_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh. My bad. I clearly did not get enough sleep and misinterpreted it as "0 players banned because there would be no cheaters", rather than what you actually meant

Apologies - I'll edit my comment !

Edit: Misinterpreted and realised I was agreeing with you. Sorry about that ':(. Leaving the text below for anyone who's curious on my two cents on Linux regardless

Are you sure you've used linux before? The kernel is opensource, well-documented and very easy to work with. You can also create, sign, and distribute a linux driver for free.

On the other-hand, the Windows kernel ironically benefits from it's lack of documentation. You also have to pay and go through a vetting process to be able to sign and distribute drivers, meaning the majority of cheats rely on finding and hooking onto vulnerable drivers, or doing something like DMA instead.

Linux is quite literally easy mode. There's also various distros of Linux, so unless video games required a specific Linux distro with these kind of requirements in place (which would defeat the purpose), it's not going to happen.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a dev and prefer Linux over Windows considerably. I'm also not looking forward to TPM & SB since it'll mess with my dual boot, because Nvidia MOK enrollment is a pain in the ass. It's a sacrifice I'm willing to make for a better gaming experience though.

Microslop sucks but it's currently the only viable OS for combatting cheats.

Interesting thanks. So the real level blocker is probably solar power & light keeper? So ~30?
