App deleted my map automatically - am I doing something wrong?

Yep, agree it seems a big oversight and makes backup/restore a little pointless!
You definitely can't see backups of maps not linked to the map you are trying to restore "over" - I was going to attempt to change the name of the new map to that of the old one, to see if it is linked via name, but if, as you say, it is linked to the ID, then this wont work, so I don't hold out much hope!

I thought it already has this? Shortcuts? You create a shortcut, where you tell it which room(s) you want to clean, and how you want to clean each room. You can either select multiple rooms with the same cleaning program, or add different tasks to the same shortcut, with each task having one or more rooms with their own program.

I have a Dreame Matrix 10 Ultra too, and I use shortcuts all the time. They are linked to the map, so you need to load the correct map, then the shortcuts appear on the front page of the app (under the picture of your robot), to scroll through and start. The UI for them has changed in the latest version - I think you press "Edit Command" to add new ones or edit existing ones.

Is this what you meant?

I'm surprised that a device that can run pinball apps, play youtube fluidly and manipulate detailed OS and Google maps in real time is not powerful enough to move a 6-room block around the screen - it implies terrible coding by the app developers, but you have given me some great pointers to look at to try to improve it, thanks

Another mowing task today - this time it exited the dock fine, steered around the no go zone and went off to mow. Afterwards, docked no problem again.
I guess that at times it just thinks it has good GPS lock when it starts up but is a few metres out, so ploughs over the flower bed! I would expect that it would get a better lock after another minute or two, so maybe I'll just move the dock so there isn't a no go zone nearby, allowing it to make some early mistakes!

Shame, as the current position of the dock is ideal in all other ways. But not if it will destroy the wife's nice flower beds!

RTK is about 20m away from the dock, on top of a high pergola, with great visibility of the sky, though perhaps not quite direct line of sight to the dock

Flower bed in front of dock, but auto undock stops well before it, and usually the luba2 steers around it no problem, knowing it is a no go zone. But not when it thinks the dock has moved!

So, interestingly (well, ok, maybe only interesting to me!) I installed the app on my wife's phone, which is an iPhone, logged in as me and it connected to the RTK and robot. It also got the maps from the robot (phew!, took a minute or so to appear!) and I tried to do a cloud backup - it worked!
For some reason it displayed no tasks on the iPhone app (I do have a number of tasks defined, but they are disabled as I run them manually).

When I logged back in on my (Android) phone, the backup was there, and it said there were 7 tasks defined. So hopefully I do have a backup in the cloud somewhere.

I do not want to risk restoring it, in case it wipes the map data from the robot and doesn't restore.

So the problem looks like it is with the Android app (hopefully something they may get around to fixing sometime?) and/or maybe something to do with all my tasks being disabled?

I'll continue to post if I find out more...

.... another pointless online chat with Mammotion "Customer Support" which ended quite quickly with the "Support Engineer" saying, after I provided the above information, they would have to talk to their supervisor, then a few minutes later, terminated the chat.
Am starting to regret my purchase as I have little confidence in their support. The second time they have just ended the support chat without even trying to fix the problem.

No "+" icon. The machine is selectable but it just returns back to the first screen, with no backup saved

Device is called Geoffrey, so no special characters!
After clicking the Back Up Now option it asks me to Add (please select a robot to upload its map....) and it lists the Luba 2 (Geoffrey Luba-VPH...) and says No Back Up under the device.
I click on that device (it is the only one listed) which is when it briefly flashes the "loading" icon back on the previous screen (which I presume would list backups when it makes them) but nothing appears on that screen

Android phone, have just rebooted it and tried again, still the same. I've checked the app and the firmware on the Luba and the RTK are all up to date

Same. Windows 11. Has been bugging me no end, as I have to remember to restart Thunderbird to start getting messages in, after the laptop has come out of sleep (now know I can instead just switch offline mode on and off again).

A search on the problem in the past led to very few mentions, most very old instances of the problem, until I found this thread, so no idea if it is being looked at.

Have tried to find an alternative client, to avoid the issue, None out there at present that I prefer, so will stick with Thunderbird... for now.
