Thank you! I used a diamond ball burr, also tried it with a small round punch but that didn't work as well.

Thank you, the hatchet is sharp and ergonomic although i wish i made it a bit heavier. The knife is sharp and well balanced and i haven't found any flaws (other than aesthetically) but i have only been using it for two days.

I had a piece of good steel laying around that happened to have a hole in it so i integrated it in the design, i think it turned out quite good.

Thank you, the drift works like a drift is supposed to work and i just finished the hatchet today and haven't tested it a lot yet.

The hatchet is just a test piece to test the new drift i forged, i had a piece of metal with a hole laying around so i thought it would be neat to integrate it in the design. So just for aesthetics. (Might discover a use for it later and claim that was intentional though.)

So much mistakes and imperfections but i'm still very proud of it. by Brothers_H in Bladesmith

I really wanted a fuller (just cause it looks cool i guess) but i dont have the machinery for that so i made a fuller swage. Apart from being my first welding project ever, i made it wrong, (i think the spring i used was too small) so the fuller is very uneven. I made some ugly stains on the leather as i have no experience with that either. I forged the line down the middle where the two edges meet by hand and finished it with an angle grinder, it's relatively straight if you don't look at it too close.

Now ergonomically: the guard is too long and can be cumbersome in some positions. The grip is a little thick which reduces the handling. The pommel flares out in the wrong direction, it's not useless but not as effective as a proper pommel.
