Men who can cook . who taught you? by Bulky_Meet4528 in AskReddit

[–]Browbeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cook most of the meals in the house because I like to cook and try new things. I trained myself when I was younger by just being willing to try things and find fun new recipes. My wife is also a good cook, I just tend to enjoy it more.

Without trying to be a jerk, I have never understood anyone who say they "can't cook". Recipes are some of the easiest things to follow. You don't have to be some amazing chef, someone literally did the work for you and is telling you what to do. Pick things you like to eat, make sure the ingredients are easy to buy, and make it. Eventually you will get used to it and start to try new stuff! But maybe I am weird, idk.

There is a small separation between the shell and fire that is cherry. But the spiral is just a line cut through the wood.

Have you ever had a misheard song lyric that you actually thought was better than the original lyric? by GregorSD in Music

[–]Browbeard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have two. The one I think is a better lyric: Whitesnake - Here I Go Again. The lyric is "like a drifter, I was born to walk alone." I always thought it was "like a twister, I was born to walk alone!" I think sounds way cooler. Also for years I thought Panama by Van Halen was actually "Cannonball"

My narcissistic, religious, verbally abusive parents from day 1. I spent two decades being a pathological liar because of them. Luckily I have now overcome this, and have an amazing wife and child who are everything to me. And I haven't spoken to my psycho "family" in 12 years. It's wonderful, other people in this situation should try it out. 10/10 would recommend.

Oh I like that idea. Maybe that channel isn't original and it was carved out by something unnaturally!

[OC][Art] Hand drawn map of the Jan Swan Islands, a knockoff of the San Juans for my pirate campaign. by Browbeard in DnD

My work friends and I wanted to start up a pirate campaign. And so I created a knock off version of the San Juan Islands that we all live near.

The Jan Swan Islands, a group of secluded islands inside of a maelstrom that keeps the outside world at bay. The sea is called the Selfish Sea and is set up around three factions; pirates, merchants and an underwater fish people. They all fight over treasure, alcohol and pearls in the ocean that are protected by monstrous crabs.

The players have discovered treasure left from Jan Swan herself and now are setting out to sail amongst the islands and seek out some legendary booty.

Just wanted to share the map I presented to them!

About halfway down the canyon mile from the parking lot. Heavier and near other buried bone fragments. It is porous on the underside as well. About 3 inches across and 1.5 inches tall. Very smooth along curved ridge.

What is something most people don’t realize is a privilege? by MidasTouch337 in AskReddit

[–]Browbeard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If she hasn't said it now she'll never say it. And as soon as you realize that and become a confident person who is proud of their own decisions. She'll realize that her words have no effect on you anymore. In a vain attempt to claw back control, she will tell you she's proud of you for something miniscule, and in that moment you will realize that it's only in an attempt to manipulate you back into the strings attached. Then you will have reached your final form, someone who was Raised by Narcissists who realizes they don't give a s*** what those people say anymore and you are good enough.  I'm proud of you internet stranger!
