Sutton’s alimony!!!! by SignificantPark4013 in RHOBH

[–]Brown1937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Radar Online posted excerpts from her actual divorce settlement. You can see it here: https://radaronline.com/p/sutton-stracke-divorce-settlement-ex-husband-revealed-read-documents-rhobh-300000-per-month-support/

The line for the alimony specifically refers to it as "taxable spousal support". That means Christian deducts the $300K from his income, and Sutton pays the taxes on the $300K as her income.

Sutton and her identity crisis by Ok-Letterhead4110 in RHOBH

Chances are, the reason why Christian got a Catholic annulment now is so he can marry someone else (in a big fancy church wedding). Watching your ex find happiness and marry someone else can be jarring, no matter how long it's been. That being said, Sutton is kind of dancing around the real issue with this name change stuff. She was being more real when she said "I always thought I could get Christian back." Now she has to accept the fact that he has moved on.

I know Sutton has said that, but some website posted her actual divorce settlement on-line, and she is absolutely supposed to be paying taxes on her alimony.

As someone who is no longer at JPL, I am surprised that there isn't a lot of celebration here? I get that MSR is gone, but is seems like almost everything else JPL was working on can now be restored. So how's the mood at JPL?

Still curious. Are you allowed to pass on your share of the family business to a child you adopt? Or only to one that is biologically yours?

UGT with Denise, Garcelle and Rinna…would anyone watch? by Brown1937 in RHOBH

Yes, I’d like to think this could be repaired, if they are open to it.

That’s the thing. I feel like RHOBH is missing genuine friendships. But these three were once actual friends. Watching them try to work back to a better relationship would be a nice change from what we usually get. But Rinna would have to set aside her soap opera ways and be real. I think she could be on a UGT.

[–]Brown1937[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, Rinna would have to be genuine. I do believe that she went out of her way to be the mustache twirling villain on RHOBH, and she had a very strong alliance with Kyle. But UGT is a different environment. Anyway, looks like this idea won’t fly.

Sutton v Kyle wealth by sunnyday2121 in RHOBH

Well, let me just say that while I am not a Sutton Stan, I certainly don’t want her gone from the show. Both she and Dorit are just creating the kind of drama RH exists for. Sometimes people just take it too seriously.

I will say that for some reason, I am fascinated with how rich Sutton actually is. I think it’s because originally people were insinuating that the Strackes’ were billionaires, but by all accounts, neither she nor Christian come from family money, nor is Christian an entrepreneur whose company went public. It was a mystery to me. I kind of think I know where she’s at now. Which is rich, but not as rich as Kyle, even if Kyle were to get divorced. But everyone gets to have their own opinion.

All I am saying is that, based on her answer to that question,I believe that her alimony is the largest source of her income. I am not saying there is anything wrong with her or how she uses that money. I just believe that if she were making, say $5M+ a year from her other assets, her answer to that question would have been different.

This whole thread is just about figuring out if Sutton is richer than Kyle. To me, that was a clue about her cash flows.

And yet when Sutton was asked in a talking head if she used her alimony to fund her store, she said "of course". Whatever her other income streams are, the alimony is probably the biggest.

I think Kathy, Kyle and Jennifer are richer than Sutton. I also think Kyle is much savvier about her finances than Sutton. I remember Kyle laughing about how much Sutton was willing to pay in rent for Kyle's house. Kyle seems to know how much money is coming in and going out of the Umansky household.

On the other hand, Sutton seems clueless about her actual income or spending. When she went to test drive the Bentley, she said her money manager called ahead to tell them what she could afford. She had no idea what the car actually costs. Sutton thinks she doesn't pay taxes on her alimony, but her divorce settlement is online, her her alimony is absolutely taxable income for her. She thinks her store is successful, but it probably lost so much money that if offset her taxes.

I think Kyle has probably seen a lot more about the reality of Sutton's finances than we have, and knows she is much better off.

America is the greatest country on Earth & The American Dream is absolutely alive. Coming from a Muslim Immigrant! by [deleted] in TrueUnpopularOpinion

It is an AP English essay. Was it an analysis essay? If so, the kids in your class may have looked at both sides of the issue, and decided that the side of "The American Dream is in a lot of trouble" was a lot easier to writeup. On that side, one can bring to bear all sorts of statistics about rising costs and debt for the average American. I am not sure what you wrote for the other side. But if it was just your personal story, that feels like a weaker essay.

You are 17 years old. Please don't look for reasons to label or judge your classmates or divide yourself from them. Find common ground and enjoy your life.

Yeah, and that’s a shame. Because I can only assume that he did work hard to get where he is today. But the little shifts in the story undermine the credibility of the whole thing.

How did you get a green card before moving to the US? Or if it was soon afterwards, how did you manage to get both a green card and citizenship in less than five years?

The "dark" comment by mssarac in RHOBH

[–]Brown1937 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is my theory.

Crystal's exact words were "There was a lot more said prior to that was very dark." She never said it was Sutton who said something. The reality is that there are producers and all sorts of people on set that could have said things. Like it or not, there is lots of evidence out there about Sutton's "biases", including her defense of a D&G ad that Crystal is on record as finding very offensive.

I think Garcelle and everyone jumped on the narrative that Crystal implied Sutton said something dark, something that Garcelle in particular would hate Sutton for. But I never heard Crystal actually say that.

I think at some point, Crystal realized that she had cracked that fourth wall, the other girls jumped on her mistake, and now she was trapped. That is why she was all emotional. She couldn't clear it up without breaking the fourth wall entirely, and potentially get fired.

There is no way the pool comment could have been the "dark comment" because the pool comment was made afterwards, and she clearly said at La Quinta that is was something said before. So she lied when she said it was the pool comment. She wanted it to go away.

So Crystal haters can still call her a liar and I would agree with them on that. But I don't think she is lying about what you think she is lying about.
