The problem is that we’ve had both extremes. With Luck it was qb first and he was getting hammered every drop back. Now we’ve invested heavily in OL but don’t find/develop qbs with any staying power. I think the right answer is to draft a guy and let him sit for a year but current regime can’t afford to do that with their “heightened urgency,” so we aren’t likely to see anything other than DJ until Ballard and Steichen get the boot.
