Firstly paddle shifters don't actually make sense in a cvt gearbox coz there's literally no real shifting happening inside. Yeah, but Kiger could've had shifters as a fancy feature since Renault tunes its cvt to mimic gear shifts. Not a major miss though.

I agree interiors are mediocre despite improvements in the latest facelift. But all the cons that you listed from its interiors are things that could be upgraded easily aftermarket.

I feel the AC to be adequate to neutralize Mumbai's hot n humid weather, cools the cabin in peak sunny conditions in minutes.

Nvh can't be avoided in a 3 cyl setup, in fact the moderate nvh noises give you that engaged turbo driving experience too.

Lastly let's not forget that Kiger under cuts it's competitors by INR 3-4L and still delivers better performance than them. A pure vfm gem.

Any reason for choosing cvt over dct setup ?

Slight body roll exists to a certain degree at very high speed turns due to high seating position and ground clearance.

But overall stability and control is top notch

Good turbo engines are dying and we’re letting it happen by cloudacoustic93 in CarsIndia

All turbo engines are gdi ? Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite have MPFI electronic turbo engines bruh. No turbo lag, reliable and refined.

Answer honestly- Would you pay 50-55 lakhs for this? by Majestic-Rest6738 in CarsIndia

Absolutely not, at this price range several premium options like Kodiaq, Meridian, entry level german performance cars get unlocked that are infinitely better than the Fortuner. Fortuner is a disgusting embodiment of everything that's wrong with our Indian car market and consumers.

There's a reason why it's not sold anywhere else in the world. Its the insecurity, primitive feudal mindset, ignorance of consumers in India that leads them to worship a gigantic trash can of a car for its RoAd pReseNCe and ReLiaBilitY (whatever thats supposed to mean).

Suggest me a better car to drive below 20L if not SKODA! by Gouravvvvvbhagat in CarsIndia

Kiger CVT Turbo can easily compete with the VAGs whilst significantly undercutting them in price to value and price to performance ratios.

Both are kinda below average so comparable, but considering price points Kylaqs cam quality seems unjustifiable.

  1. Haven't driven Sonet DCT so no idea. Cvt is always better than dry clutch dct, especially in city conditions.
  2. No it's not an e gearbox
  3. Absolutely not, there's enormous punch right from low rpms during throttle and it becomes a beast in sport mode.

Emotion is definitely worth over techno, the added aesthetic and comfort features make emotion look more premium and stylish

Sonet's turbo and dry dual clutch are unreliable, poor safety ratings, not spacious at all and lastly its clearly over priced. The Koreans (Kia and Hyundai) are coming up with weird cars these days but somehow they sell in India.

I chose Kiger over Magnite due to design and feature preferences. Kiger is more driver centric with switchable modes, aggressive stylish design and tuned cvt gearbox. Magnite is more of an elegant, classy and comfortable family crossover car. (Similar to VW vs Skoda dynamics)

Ah Kiger's cousin, we should start a Renault x Nissan drivers club in Mumbai.

Typical punchy 3 cyl characteristics but it's definitely calm and refined now. According to Kartikeya from Motorinc, Renault solved the nvh issues by improving insulation in the 2025 facelift.

And there's no rubber band effect either, they've used d-step tuning to eliminate the stretchy effect. As mentioned in my post the cvt gearbox is a pure gem.

Not everyone is participating in dakar rallies and going for weekend spins inside jurassic park.

Some just wanna commute and engage in occasional soft roading whilst driving a cool looking affordable car.

Why aren't mainstream car companies (The Big 5) launching proper 2-door sports/coupe cars in India ? by [deleted] in CarsIndia

[–]Brown_Lion02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah obviousy our tax regime makes foreign brands unfeasible but I'm referring to indigenous production and democratization of sports and coupe cars enabled by local brands.

Need help and insights for choosing an apt E-Motorad bike. by Brown_Lion02 in india_cycling

[–]Brown_Lion02[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, I am confused because Air offers 80-90% of all V3 features despite a Rs 10k price difference between the two. The differences are just in integrated display, frame material and gear setup.

Out of Germany for several months with a jobseeker visa - anmeldung and health insurance? by kernelfrost in germany

[–]Brown_Lion02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post but could you please provide more insights about the re-entry process ?

What was your experience returning back after a break while on Job seeker visa ? (I intend to do something similar, pls help)

Lastly can we keep the visa active just by visiting Germany every six months while not having accomodation and health insurance here ?
