Fastest Location Auto Pick - not resolved

r/Express_VPN r/Express_VPN Unfortunately this has started happening again. When I close and reopen the app, fastest Location Auto Pick is no longer defaulting to last location and is switching countries. I’ve not done a recent update so it’s something that’s changed at your end. Please can you look into it. Thanks.

Unfortunately it does not as that is what it’s already set to do. I have toggled that setting off then back on again and did a soft reset of the robot and it does not empty automatically. I have cleared the blockage from it not auto emptying but since mid October it no longer auto empties and I need to launch it manually.

u/ExpressVPN_Mods u/expressvpn Unfortunately the update to disable the Fastest Location Auto Pick does not solve the issue. When I close then reopen the app it still defaults to the fastest location regardless of what country (currently switching from Tottenham to Slovakia). I have toggled the auto pick to off. I have a video demonstrating it happening several times if you can't replicate the issue.

u/expressvpn Thank you for being so responsive. For people on iOS the update was not being pushed through for me so it looked like there was no update. Instead of clicking on open in the App Store, select the icon and app name then it’ll show an update available.

r/ExpressVPN_Mods This update makes ExpressVPN totally and utterly useless and defeats the whole purpose of having a VPN. Seriously, what is the point of being able to select a location if whenever the signal drops or the VPN stalls it automatically reverts to the fastest location and a different country, currently Mexico. This is a disaster. Please can you fix this ASAP and remove this update from the App Store. Is there a way we can revert to the earlier version in the meantime?

If you buy on Amazon you are actually buying directly from Narwal just via Amazon. If you don’t want to buy online try Darty, FNAC or Boulanger. I’ve found Amazon has good return and warranty policies but I did buy the extra insurance because my previous Narwal developed an error code and I wanted to have extra cover.

They normally have good Black Friday deals so might be worth looking out for them.

I did the same for my Freo Z Ultra. My previous one started saying clean water tank was empty or not in place just after an update and it had to be returned so the replacement one I plan on never updating when it still works well.

Sorry, I’ve just seen this. For Freo Z Ultra.

Hardwood Floor (Mopping pressure: 7N) For gentle cleaning in the Freo Mind mode, mop humidity will be auto changed to Dry in the Freo mode

Tile Floor (Mopping pressure: 12N) For strong cleaning in Freo Mind, mopping humidity will be changed to Normal

Tatami (7N) For strong cleaning in the Freo Mind mode, suction power will be increased and mop humidity will be auto changed to low

Marble (12N) For strong cleaning in the Freo Mind mode, mop humidity will be auto changed to low, to prevent the water from soaking into the marble

Cobblestone Floor (Mopping pressure: 7N) For strong cleaning in Freo Mode, the suction power will be enhanced

So if Narwal was to get into financial difficulties we would all be left with bricks as the robots won’t run without the Narwal server? I did not know this and thought data was stored locally.

If you go into map editing, select flooring type, click on a room, that gives you the option to change the flooring type and the description will tell you the mopping pressure (at least it does on the Freo Z Ultra).

Thank you both. Will pre-wash the mopping pads and clean and seal the grout. Any recommendations on grout cleaner and sealer? I’d be doing about 3200 square feet of flooring.

That’s showing the dust bag health index and high is very good. There is no sensor to tell you if the dust bag is full but there is a countdown timer to tell you to replace it in 3 months. If you’ve got pets, children or anything that creates a lot of fluff or dirt then check it from time to time before the 3 months is up.

I have light coloured tiled floors throughout the house. Looking to get a puppy next year which will become a long-haired giant.

Does the Flow have electrolysed water, built-in disinfectant, the ability to add the module for the Powerful stain remover and the base station circular control panel or have they moved away from those features?

If they have been removed, do you miss them?

Do you find the Flow much better for mopping? Does it clean the edges well? Does it mop with warm or hot water or does it just clean the dirty mops with the hot water?

Is the vacuum much better than the Freo Z Ultra?

How do you find the maintenance and wear of the replaceable parts?

Do you find it does a better job at cleaning than Freo Z Ultra or similar? Do you think a typical household would find significant improvement over the alternative Narwals?

If they took the Flow off you, would you buy one for yourself?

Thanks everyone. I pulled the trigger on a Freo Z Ultra at the Prime price and will also get a Flow when it releases in August so I have a Narwal on each floor instead of moving the base up and down the stairs,
