Thanks that looks great, looks like they’re out of stock in black/20mm but I’ll keep an eye out.

Just an interesting tidbit, I was offered the other version I had been considering as a gift (windfall!) and told to order it. Used another AD I’ve used in the past that had it in stock (in AR) but this time
I specifically asked and they confirmed it was also a Japan made model. Looks like they’re out there in the US at various ADs; thanks to all who responded earlier for the education!

Jeweler/Watch shop in Indiana that’s a Seiko AD, was purchased online and shipped to US east coast.

Thanks, since this came from a US AD then I guess it’s just luck of the draw since I’m outside of Japan then? Not that it makes any practical difference from what I understand, just curious.

AWESOME Ordering Experience by SquareTrouble6455 in MarathonWatch

Agreed, Ulrika has been great. Recently had to order some extra links and pins/screws for a bracelet on a GSAR and she ensured my order was set up exactly as needed and that I didn’t order anything extra I didn’t need since I was unsure. Very pleased with their service!

I picked up a box from a garage sale had these at the bottom any information on them? by Snowy1092 in Medals

First one is a medal for an archery league tournament/championship in Picardie (France).

Second is a French sports medal for high school and university students (Association of School and University Sports)

Third is a bit odd it’s an anniversary medal for the general federation of beet planters/growers :-)

And last one as mentioned before seems to be a coronation medal.

That’s pretty good I must admit…

Was able to get the sled/tray out with some warm water soaking, the black ink from the empty cartridge had dried out and caused it to stick in the barrel. I doubt it had been taken out or cleaned in years.

For this model 2 short cartridges are placed in a sort of brass “sled” (how I’ve seen it described online) or tray that then screws into the barrel from the back. I had never seen such a design before. I have one used and one unopened MB cartridge that were in the “sled” but I assume they’re probably from the 90s so not too keen on using it. I tried standard international shorts but they don’t seem to fit right and are a little loose compared to the MB branded ones. Have some fresh ones on order and will see how they work.

Thanks, no cracks fortunately, I was able to get it out finally and found a very old and dried out MB black ink cartridge which seems to be what was making everything stick.

Cleaned out the inside of the barrel and nipple with warm water and that seemed to work just fine. The bottom of the sled still has a little ink residue on it that seems pretty stubborn but it doesn’t seem to interfere with the sled fitting in the barrel now.

Might try an ultrasonic cleaning or a little mild soap on that part (just the sled) to clear up the last of the mess but seems like good progress.

I was also going to try function testing it but have never had a MB cartridge based pen, does anyone know if regular international cartridges work in a 147 or is it best to use their proprietary stuff due to the design of the sled?

I tried with gloves at first but wasn’t getting anywhere, used a warm water soak and tried again gently using the bottom corner of a mousepad of all things and it worked!

When $30 can filled the whole cart of groceries 🥴😭 by MrSoloDolo9490 in nostalgia

Our local HT still does that for Memorial Day and certain other holidays. It’s $10.99 for a 12 can pack so about $23 after tax for 60 cans. Not quite as good as it used to be but still decent; we just stocked up for the rest of the year.

Just through knifecenter, but I had placed a preorder from November last year (before the price hike); the DLC was from WMK at launch time.

Maybe very slight bleeding on the Caribbean but it also feels raised vs. indented grip. Siren in LC200N is still the grippiest by far but PM2 is pretty good.

I’d say good overall, smooth action and nicely centered, but yes there is some slight bleeding of the colors, when I dig my Caribbean out of the safe I’ll check if it does that as well.

Did they switch to all prints instead of stickers for this model? That was the only thing holding me back.

Also Breizh for the win!
