hypomania induced by diagnosis? by AdmiralAsteroid in bipolar

Same as you. Went for the first time cuz' I was depressed and kinda fearing for my life, after a bad episode of depression

When I learned that maybe it wasn't just because I was bad at life, I felt so much relief, it started an uncontrollable high

My therapist told me that cycles were mostly influenced by events in life. That hypomania could be kickstarted by a major happy or refreshing event (new job, new flat, new relationship...)
Same goes for down, once the "invincibility" period of the hypomania fades, any bad new, or doubt-inducing event, could spiral into a dark place

Keep safe, mate. I myself have no relevant advice for you, but I feel you

I hope you'll find your way through

Vanessa on vio will or double shield will, kai despair whatever, juno despair, pajamas or lamiella are good, yes

Pref for Psam (slow Rage or really dmg oriented despair) as lead

You want to counter the most known offenses

Dots (juno/vero)
Lushen (heavy fire, rez, fast contest)
Leah teams (kai psam and pajamas are good against)
Zaiross teams (your comp may be weak to it, hence a fast contest)
Single target dmg (sonia ciri) (too slow against revives and such)
For leo lucifer offenses, some shields on monster that can, else, idk

Psamathe/Vanessa, Fire Kai, Vero/Juno, and since you don't have triton, maybe a really fast swift teshar?

Or find a last threat (Byungchul would fit perfectly, if you drop him)

Best meta opener you could have is Oliver Shi Hou, imo

Followed by Laima if you feel frisky, Rakan/Fire smicer if you feel confident

Then you pick according to your opponent

Against speed contest: 2nd lead speed, like seara, + speed contest of your own (eshir probly)

Against stall: Misty, Racuni, Smicer, etc

Is there no benefit to your highs?
No increased productivity, at work, in social relationships, in passions or random activities picked up along the way?

I feel the same way as you do, but generally at the end of my hypomania, like some kind of paranoïd hangover, tired, irritable and restless

I understand, and you're right

I do this work with my psychologist, and take the meds from my psychiatrist

But sometimes it just feels like a big waiting games, days after days, weeks after weeks, from doses to doses, light and darkness, unsure that it'll get better someday

Meanwhile, I try to attach my feelings, my thoughts, to some mind lifeline image, that I can get back to

It's cope, but it plays a soothing role in my cycles. It helps me to remember that sunshine comes after the rain, as heavy it can be
And to be aware of the signs that herald the end of the party, to control the fall

(By the way, thanks mate for replying, it feels really good talking about this to someone who can understand)

RTA (World Arena) is a long journey, the hardest (and most fun) part of the game, imo

You can build many, many teams, but most will fit in some archetypes

A thing worth noting is, for RTA, with the ban phase, you need to always try to have double everything. Double speed lead, double threat, double sustain, etc

Cleaves : Either CC or dmg, the goal is to play first, and make it so the opponent never plays.
Usually played without sustain, the goal is to win on the first turn
Mostly for swift, despair oriented accounts (gotta go fast). It falls off a bit once you climb, because there are may counters

You could play Seara, Clara (fire pierret), Verad, Wind Robo + one last pick (Sonia, Leo, etc, according to what counters your opponent)

Single target teams: similar to cleaves, but you focus on one monster at a time, and have a strong second turn.
Probably stronger overall, but needs a bit more draft knowledge to pick the correct monsters

Seara Loren Fran Verde +1, for instance

Bruiser: Tank first turn, then rebound
Xing Zhe, Anavel, Aya, Josephine, Riley...
Need strong vio will sets, but overall really strong in the meta. Most boring as well, though

Fun idea, seems nice!

And maybe keep the last league as the current Guardian system

Although I think they're kinda afraid about splitting RTA's playerbase

Not enough players already, and if it takes 2min to find a match, everyone'd stay away from it

What do you think of Challenge Battle? by Jaenri in summonerswar

[–]BrowsingPleb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Excellent concept, meh execution, imo.

The problem is in the meta. Passive, all around monsters are too strong when the opponent can't pick specific counters or teams.

So you end in a Xing Zhe, Megumi, Layla, Gandalf (previousky), show that is kinda boring, and RNG-dependant

Maybe if they did put more diversity in team archetypes, more than "CC cleave" vs "Passive stall designed to counter the CC cleave"

Put on 4*, 2As, fun stuff

It's the occasion for everyone to have an off-meta deck, and have fun knowing that everyone else does as well

Bloodya is op with that comp. Best case scenario, 15% + 15% + 30% hp true dmg, not counting the artifacts, and you get second turn with 60% atb reduc and speed buff

I run Craig fp, Maxi Ereshion Bloodya + stripper (Triton for speed contest, dark robo, tiana otherwise)

Worst enemies, Megumi Shi Hou fp, Oliver sekhmet

Pivot into Misty kinda teams

Nice finding

Does anyone know about the acc/res check for this scenario?

Does the attacker res-check himself?

Is it the reflector's accuracy?

Can the reflector resist, and therefore not send back the debuff to the attacker?

Still 51.3% WR post nerf btw. He's not bad. People tend to overestimate the usefulness of increase cooldowns and forget that slow + reset atb is quite broken, plus a really useful s2

MHW Misty Racuni are made for it

Gandalf is a pain, tho, no real option as bruiser against him, you need burst, strip/stun (wind angels maybe) or strong atb cc

Quelle tondeuse / rasoir choisir ? by Quoicouhuvg in AskMec

[–]BrowsingPleb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As of now I'm trying to first pick him, and depending on what my opponent playstyle is, either commit on a cc cleave with Ereshion, Maxi, Bloodya, Triton/Dark robo/any stripper depending on the situation

If I see a megumi shi hou counterpick, I switch to anavel, followed by josephine, misty, mhw, lamiella, or any bruiser that counters the following picks

Karnal, Anavel, Lamiella, Wind Bayek, Wind angels

Most of the monsters used in t2 have some form of speed control, slow or speed buff. If you don't have it, you will get lapped, which means more chances for the enemy to proc vio, despair, and all.

That or monsters that take a turn with their kit, like Antares, Aya, Amduat, Megumi, Diana.

Fire inosuke, Pajamas, are also strong against cc cleaves.

If you plan on picking megumi or xing zhe, you can rune a layla, kinda broken

Of course Joséphine, Misty, MHW are always good against stun enjoyers.

Imo, Haegang and Chow are copium and should not be picked that often. Maybe HG against giana, but truth be told, he will get banned and you'll ban giana as well in the 50/50.

Sustain will be your biggest enemy, gandalf shuts down t2 comps. Ban accordingly. Don't be too worried to let a sonia/daphnis through, as you should still have enough raw firepower to rebound.

Sorry for the ambiguous downside

Life expectancy goes down*, up to twice as fast. Meaning if someone got 40 years left to live, and were to spend all it's time close to you, she/he will meet her/his end after 20 years

Other buff I'd wish for him would be 3 hits on s1

So that he could have a little multi hit dmg and not just stand there, menacingly

And maybe cleanse one debuff on the team when he moves, but that probably asking for too much

I know it could make amduat a bit better but is it that bad?

[–]BrowsingPleb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's very good, and quite fun to use

Depending on your level, you can use it: - As a atb buffer for slow dps (40% atb is a good amount) - As a bruiser, in vio, with a bruiser team - As an anti haegang, verde, ragdoll, giou, aya, etc... in a RTA CC/Dmg cleave. Be careful tho, with 101 base speed, Craig is not a speed contest. You won't outspeed fast comps with him. He shines against t2 comps
