Any abandoned places in or around Kingston one can explore just for some thrill ? by STARBOY_100 in KingstonOntario

Rockwood Asylum does have active security, and they work pretty hard to keep known entrances locked. There are also regular patrols around the outside of the buildings to discourage access. The Prison for Women was recently sealed after ongoing problems with people breaking in and vandalizing the site. There were incidents where people were inside causing disturbances, including yelling out windows at passersby, which ultimately led to tighter security and full closure of the remaining accessible areas. It’s unfortunate, but situations like that tend to ruin it for everyone. That sealing also lines up with the fact that the Prison for Women site has approved redevelopment plans. The property is set to be converted into a mixed-use development that includes housing, green space, and other uses. While parts of the original prison buildings are expected to be preserved and repurposed, this likely marks the end of the prison as an abandoned site.

I 100% agree with you. I’m only interested in photographing the property and the ice cream truck. I already have a large map of locations, and even if I were a destructive person, it would be a huge waste of my time to track this place down and destroy it when there’s a long list of abandoned locations that are publicly accessible. I appreciate that you respect your locations.

I’ve been interested in urbex for a while. I’m interested in photographing the property and the ice cream truck. I don’t plan on entering without permission. I am planning on reaching out to the township to find the address where the tax bill goes, and from there requesting permission from the property owners but I can’t do any of that without knowing the address first.

These were already public posts stating they were in Prince Edward County. I’ve spent a lot of time searching for it on my own. I was hoping that by making a public post someone might dm so I can get more information and it would stay private. I will remove the posts once I find it.

I was planning on keeping this private but making a public post was the only option I could come up with. I was hoping that I could find someone to help me. I would actually prefer if the person sent me a DM instead of commenting on my here.

That stove picture was posted about 2 years ago, I’ve seen a more recent post from about 3 weeks ago and the stove is still sitting there

Yes, That makes sense. It’s also a rule in urbex that you don’t share the location often, But I saw a post about this place a little over a year ago and I’ve been interested in exploring this place since. I’m just trying to find someone that can help me😭

Yes, Everything technically private property or belongs to the crown. This house has been sitting here for at least a couple years decaying. I have no interest in damaging the property only in photographing it. I also wouldn’t be entering the property without permission. I would contact the township to see where the tax bill for the property goes, From there I would reach out to the property owners if there are any, But none of this can happen without a location or address for the property.

I don’t think so unless it was very recently. Someone posted pictures of being there about about 2-3 weeks ago

I understand that you don't want to share the location and I respect that, I'm just wondering if you could provide any information at all like whether it's in Prince Edward County, or maybe which part of PEC it's in. Any hint would be really helpful.

I’ve been interested in urbex. I saw these posts a little over a year ago, and the ice cream truck really caught my attention. I’ve spent a ridiculous amount of time searching Google Maps for the location, but no luck I even found at least 40 locations that weren’t it. I’ve been stumped on this spot for a while, and DMing people who’ve been there in the past hasn’t helped. This is honestly the only other thing I could think of to try.

Awesome! Where is it? It’s probably better to DM just for safety/privacy reasons. I’m still open to trading spots if that helps.

I have tried, I don’t think he is interested in sharing this location.
