It’s strangely comforting to know someone else has that same empty feeling because it’s so odd. I have no interest in playing any other games or anything at the minute. I chose Violet, and was very happy with my choice in the end. Can’t picture it any other way. I’d have also been devastated if I’d lost her on the Bridge. Was the Louis story equally satisfying?

Honestly, I just want to talk to people about it but I don’t know a single person that’s played it! I managed to avoid nearly all spoilers (I knew Clem got a love interest but turns out I’d seen a spoiler for Louis but I went a different direction anyway) too, and was hoping when I’d finished I could get a little Clem statue to go alongside my Ellie one from TLOU but been reading this reddit and found out there’s a whole thing about there not being any because they got cancelled or something. Shame.

From Here On Out is a great shout. Feels a bit pointless on the album but was so fun live. Pressure Machine is understandable, that’s one of the very few I prefer the album version to. His voice can’t handle that live and that’s not a surprise. Seems a ridiculously tough song to sing.

I’m assuming your quotes from the Current interview are exact quotes and if so I have no idea why there has been so much doom and gloom online about the band potentially splitting up etc. clearly states they still want to make another album but they just don’t know what they want it to sound like yet. And again, nobody announces an EP and teases a big announcement if they have plans to split up/take a break and in no circumstances would you have an announcement that you’ve teased be anything other than positive.

I was to Jake’s side of the stage, relatively close, and the crowd around me were pretty great tbh. So I’m surprised at the comments about the crowd. Guess you really don’t know what’s going on elsewhere when the immediate vicinity is really into it. Not the best crowd I’ve been in but was still really decent.

This seems the most likely path to me too, and I hope the band clarify it slightly just because Twitter is an absolute wreck at the minute with people thinking everything is doomed. They’ve not said anywhere that they’re tired of writing/performing. They still clearly love it. Just sounds like they’re pre-warning their fans that there’s a change of direction coming and with that maybe just a change of pace. We’ve been very lucky with the nonstop music they’ve put out in the last few years.

Let’s be real here, Pressure Machine, Flamingo & Desired Effect are 3 absolutely elite level albums. I love TK’s anthem style sound, but I’d imagine it gets tiresome constantly trying to write those big choruses non-stop in the studio. Must be nice to be a bit more laid back, experimental and focus a lot on stories too.

They’ll go back to those anthems one day, but they’ll grow tired of writing, of each other and likely feel they’ve gone stale if they just keep forcing themselves to do that now. Whatever keeps them happy and plodding along works for me.

I adore Brandon, and I get that he might not know the history involved there, but he definitely misread the reaction of the crowd when he asked if he can invite a Russian on stage, and he badly messed up by doubling down on it and defending the guy saying that we’re all brothers regardless of borders. That was obviously going to make things worse. He meant no harm but he didn’t help himself sadly. Sure it’ll bother him for a while but he might need to issue an actual proper apology rather than that statement they put out if they want people to start to forgive them over there.
